Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Sunday! I’ve missed Sunday message! I’ve been on a hiatus from Sunday messaging because I won’t force a blog. If the motivation isn’t there I simply won’t make one up out of thin air! Today is all about doing what’s best for you!

People Mean Well

I do believe people people mean well. However they do tend to push their issues or desires on those around them. As much as advice comes from your own experience, not all advice fits all people. So learning to trust yourself while balancing the ability to be able to take advice without offense is an art. Don’t allow yourself to put too much of a block up with those around you!

Knowing What You Want

You won’t always know what you want to do or where you want to go! There are times that life is clear and other times things will be messy. I find that we tend to block the messiness we once lived in. We treat others from our own stage and forget we too had a super unclear pathway in the past. Once you realize what you want it’s easier to push ahead. If you’re struggling with clarity it’s okay!

Here are some of the things I do to bring clarity in my life:

  • Write down where I believe I’m in
  • Journal the pros and cons about what I believe my current place means for my perceived future
  • Eliminate alcohol and any other distractions
  • Seek advice from those I feel provide me a safe space
  • Write short and long term goals
  • Take a social media break
  • Write down expectations I had at the current point

Boundary fence

Set Those Boundaries

One of the main reasons people feel so free to tell you what you should be doing is because you tell people too much of your business. Everything isn’t for everyone not even your closest friends. You can build and let people know what you have done instead of what you plan to do. It’s not that you can’t share your walk with others, it’s that most are working on their own plans too. Setting a few boundaries and stop giving others access to you is key to living a happy and content life.

Plan Ahead

So once you start to figure out what it is you want to do, how do you execute it?  You need a plan. It starts with always being clear over your objection and revisiting it often. Don’t lose your focus but if you do go over your objection again. It’s easy to lose focus. Knowing and living by your why is important to being successful.

Task board

Sometimes the money won’t line up with the purpose. Friends won’t always align with the purpose. Support from those you know who say they “got you” won’t always align with purpose. There are some who are around to see what your “little” idea will do so they can sweep in and reap the benefits. Turn your discernment up a little higher.

Enjoy the Pace

As hard as things can and will get it’s okay to enjoy the journey. It doesn’t have to be doom and gloom. The stressful parts can be intense but also a small portion of the journey. There’s something about enjoying the journey. Working hard and seeing the benefits unfold is one of the most rewarding feelings ever! You know the work being put in the background so you’re grateful for the rewards. You continue to show up for yourself when others counted you out! Be proud of yourself!

Don’t be Afraid To Start Over

Whether that’s a full start over or revamping an idea or business plan don’t be afraid! There’s a lesson in being able to see that something isn’t working. Letting your ego tell you to continue with a broken plan to save face isn’t it either! Trust your gut and intuition. Find a way to salvage parts that you can reuse and take a deep breath for the rest! You will work through it!

Happy Sunday! Let’s make the best of it! Organize and prepare for the week! Get prepared for vacations. If you’re goal is to get healthier set a work out schedule. Set your workout clothes out, meal prep, and find your water container and fill up! Preparation for any goal is important! Take the time to pray or meditate. Need help with meditation, use the app Calm! Listen to a podcast, try mine, Conversations with Toi!

Enjoy Sunday Funday!
