Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. I hope you’re week has been going well. This has been a slowish week but in a weird way. We will get into all of that as we recap this week’s ups and downs!

Also I have a new form of keeping track of new blogs, podcasts, social media.

Reshifting

So this week’s start begun with our kids having to adjust their schedules. Their school has been in session since the beginning of the pandemic. You can imagine that with that there’s been COVID-19 scares and classroom shut downs. So although they aren’t physically in the classroom like some of their classmates the shift has still affected them. Also we started the week with a power outage. I purposely didn’t get the Monday Motivation out largely due to it. We try to show our children that often times keeping your wits about you matters most in high stressful times!

Blog Break

Although if you follow me on social media, I’ve had daily content, I have only written two blogs this week. This blog makes three.

Reposting of Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Helping my Kids with Anxiety

Also watch my Reel I made to help visualize anxiety in children!

It’s the end of the month so I am finalizing May content. This also means making any Reels that are relevant ahead of time. You don’t think content creators create all content on the fly? Not good ones! Being ahead of the game is key to not having burn out! A few weeks ago I worked on my Mother’s Day blogs that I have set from May 1-9th including my Mother’s Day message!

April Comes and Goes

What a month? This has been an interesting month for sure. A few grand openings, blog is doing well, I became a plant mom, and working through and flourishing in life-I can’t complain! What are the joys that went down for you this month? I try to find ways to celebrate those highs. The lows and we all have them, I use as motivation. I look forward to a more prosperous month in May. Also I turn 40 on May 10th! Albeit in a pandemic again, my family and friends made last year a great one. I anticipate this being no different!

Podcast Episode 18, Season 3 is Out

It’s a Friday and Friday means a new episode of Conversations with Toi is out! Today we talk about trauma not having an expiration. People have so much negativity to talk about Oprah. Apparently she’s rich and therefore it absolves her trauma. We also talk about the loyalty of “holding a man down” who may or may not do the same in return. Catch the episode here. Remember the podcast is available on ALL platforms.

Podcast that I listened to this week:

Turn to your Neighbor

Wellness Wednesday on Goodpods

Ratchet and Respectable by Demetria L. Lucas

This week’s items to consider:

Temper: a mint to help with intermittent fasting! I’ve been doing it for awhile. The benefits for me is self control while eating, better sleep, and purposeful eating! If you’re wanting to try, use my code LATOI_AND_FRIENDS to save 20%!

Catch my stories in my Reviews tab on Instagram!

The video can be found here!

What to Expect

My project with What to Expect comes out this weekend! I will post it on my social media channels! I’m super proud of it. For one it allowed me to tell my story of postpartum and secondly it just gave me a sense of freedom! What to expect the book series is the Holy Grail of pregnancy and its expectations! So I’m honored to be able to contribute and collaborate with them.

Quick Look Ahead

Next week is Cinco De Mayo! If you’re in the Philadelphia area, I’ll share some great deals. Remember that when and if you do, be safe. Also as always with a start of a new month the entire website will be changed to reflect the new month. If there’s ever content that you specifically want to see don’t hesitate to reach out via email to toitimeblog@gmail.com

Toibration

Saturday starts my 10 day celebration called Toibration! It’s a way for me to celebrate myself. Now it sounds vain but it’s not! There’s no one that can celebrate me like me! I know myself! I know what I love! I know what makes me smile. It’s important for me to know that and tap in prior to what anyone else will do. For 10 days I will be getting all of the things that I want within reason! This year I will be 4-0! To think of all of the things I’ve been through has been crazy! I’m excited for it all! It’s not necessary but if you want to buy me a coffee you can!

With Mother’s Day next week make sure you follow me on Facebook so you don’t miss the content! I’m going to have everyone covered!
