Friday recap

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. Mariah Carey has said it’s time so it’s time to start the holiday cheer. Besides holiday love or hate this week has been good. I have had the most time. I am shocked that my calendar has been full but has had so many good breaks. So, what all took place and what is the weekend shaping up to be.

Valley Forge Annual Lunch Friday Recap

Last Friday was a time. I was not expecting the day party that I entered but I am not mad. The Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board held their annual luncheon, and it was one of the best parties of the year. This annual meeting is to highlight the amazing things happening in Montgomery County. In addition, we were able to learn about the ways budgetary impact has helped build many of the companies that are contributing to the love of what Montgomery is and brings. I enjoyed the food, drinks, and the speakers. One of the speakers was Nicole Lynn. Nicole Lynn is a Sports Agent and is most known for her being able to garner one of the largest deals for Philadelphia Eagles, Quarterback Jalen Hurts.

As well spoken as she was and accomplished, I enjoyed the fact that she kept going in this male dominated arena. All the no she received in her time, but she kept going. One of the things that I took home with me was her words to allow your excellency to be your currency. If you remember I was featured in the Crave Magazine this year and be on the lookout for more greatness from Montgomery County.

Halloween to Christmas Overnight

How was your Halloween? My family did two trunk or treats, and the adults had fun at one of the best Halloween parties I had been in a long time. The kids got candy wasted. If I see another request while at the store from one of my kids, I am going to snap. There are Target full bags at my house per each kid. They are set. FYI, I will throw much of it out.

Now that we have gotten enough candy, we are now moved on to holiday times. I had my first holiday sip right on time at Starbucks yesterday. I also have a lot of holiday campaigns and my own holiday guide that is out now too. It is time. In my home I have let the ones that live with me know that it is Christmas music season in my car.

City Cruises

Last Sunday me and my girl, Elle of Siponwhat enjoyed brunch aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia with City Cruises. I had never been on the Spirit of Philadelphia, but it was on my list of Philly things to do. I was impressed. Once on board we were seated in our assigned seats and greeted with a bottle of champagne. Although we were invited guests if you cruise with them, you too can add a bottle to await you when you board too. After being seated and all passengers were seated, we were given safety information.

Table by table were called to go to the buffet. The food was delicious. It’s been a minute since I have been at a buffet, but I ate so good that I had two plates. In addition, I highly suggest that you add the VIP experience especially if you like cocktails for the open bar. It is the best thing to save you money than purchasing individual cocktails. Shout out to the bartender on board. Every drink we had was top tier.

Conversations with Toi

The podcast episode for this week is about the Keith Lee Effect. Keith Lee is a foodie and influencer who is making waves, specifically in Atlanta. He has been on a food tour and while in Atlanta Milk and Honey and The Old Lady Gang dropped the ball. During dropping the ball Keith Lee was honest. In his honesty he made it clear that he wasn’t bashing the restaurants but highlighting these ridiculous rules that the Atlanta food scene needs to change. Make sure that you tune in because if Keith Lee came to Philly even the restaurants I have highlighted here and on social media wouldn’t survive the Keith Lee effect.
