Happy Monday! Welcome to August. Whew time is flying! We are on more month to be done with 3rd quarter. As we go into August and start prepping for the Fall let’s do a deep dive into goals for the month.

Monday Goal Setting

Each week whether you start on Sunday or Monday it’s imperative to develop a game plan for your goals. What do you want to see happen in this week? This is a great time to tighten up your planner and more. I have been on vacation for the past 2 weeks. With that being said, I’m focused. It’s hard to get back into the swing of things but it’s truly necessary. Start with the tasks that need to happen first. From the tasks develop a realistic plan of attack! Write them down don’t just think about it.

Monthly Goals

What are your goals for the month? For me it will be getting the kids ready for back to school. They are starting a new school so we work on social skills, examples for them to use and more. We increase yoga and other mindfulness exercises. We will in 2 weeks start transitioning them to a regular bed time to eliminate the back to school shock. Professionally I’m working on content and sponsored posts. Pitching for me will be the focus too. Maintaining the blog as I always do. Keeping events in the city organized and more. Personally getting back to a work out schedule that works. Increasing water intake and finalizing my Fall travel schedule.

Monday Starts

After a weekend of fun sometimes it’s hard to start on Monday! However in order to get to Friday, Monday must happen. Instead of being dreadful and taking that energy into your day take small ways of crushing your day. Find a bright piece of clothing to make your outfit pop. Make your favorite breakfast or smoothie. Add your favorite lip color or nail polish. Stretch to start your day. Get fueled by your favorite coffee in your favorite mug. There are so many ways to jumpstart your day! Here are so more ways:

  • Listen to a podcast
  • Start your day with movement
  • Listen to your favorite song or artist
  • Start with gratitude
  • Yoga or meditation

Monday Hype-Man/Woman

Are you you’re highest hype man? This means that as much as it would feel good to have a team behind you, consider hyping yourself. Never start a day with negative thoughts. I didn’t say they wouldn’t come! Just acknowledge the flaw you see and counter it with positive reinforcements. For instance If you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see: acknowledge it. Once acknowledged either develop a plan of attack and compliment yourself in another area.

Summer isn’t Over Yet

Even with the kids going back to school soon remember Summer isn’t over. Plan for a Summer soirée. This could be as big or as small as you would like it to be. Our family is padding the next couple of weeks with day trips. This is always a great way to see more of the things around us without committing to over night stays. Plan a cookout, a dinner, or even a brunch. Don’t want to cook? Have your fun time catered or have it at a special restaurant. The point is to continue celebrating the fun of Summer while working actively on your goals.

Show Up Mondays

In order to start the day right you have to show up. How do you plan to show up today?! Start with honoring yourself with nutrients and fuel. Stop skipping meals. Start this month and week off right. Eat, move, and execute! Make a plan. Get the right tools to help you make the plan work for you. Put blinders on. Stop focusing on everyone and what they have going on. Pour that energy back into you! have an amazing day! Happy Monday!
