Happy Monday. Oh what a weekend I had. Fresh from Los Angeles and I can’t wait to share later this week. If you haven’t had the opportunity to read on my travel tips with anxiety, please do. This is the beginning of unofficial Summer fun. So let’s channel that upbeat mentality into the start of our week.

Monday Vibe Check

Usually on Monday’s we tend to go right into a from of what you should think, feel, or some sort of reset. This Monday I want us to check to where you are right now. The feeling(s) that you are experiencing should explored. How did you get to your current feeling? It is true that knowing that helps to frame the future too. Don’t just run to change; be aware of its pathway. If you’re feeling anything other than peaceful, contentment let’s explore negative feelings as protection.

Feelings and Protection

If you ever felt uneasy and didn’t understand it-remember feelings can protect you. It doesn’t matter if you are alone in feeling like you do. Feeling a certain way about someone or something can be a clear indication that you are being or fulfiling guarded for a certain reason. This is why although children are learning themselves we should never discount the vibes they express from others. They have the ability to see things that we miss due to relationship. Guad yourself but trust your gut. Often times our gut is shouting at us too. Feelings of rudeness, inconsistencies, and more are some of the fist to be picked up from many.

Monday Performative Routine

If your Monday is feeling performative and rehearsed, you aren’t alone. Routines are great to have until you desire to make change. Change isn’t a bad thing. It could be a stall in your future. Detours isn’t or shouldn’t be seen as problematic. Not all forms of change can be denied. Performative behavior like doing things that are expected or even safe can also bring on feelings of guilt. If this is you consider adding small changes rather than drastic ones. The ideal of adding a little flavor is to break up your day but not to break you.

Monday Balanced Reactions

If you think that your feelings although are right in their premise needs work in the execution this is what I like to call growth. Feeling a certain way about someone or something should allow us to mistreat others. This also means people who are rightfully wrong. Their wrongness isn’t a green  light to deal the same cards. I am not suggesting that taking the high roll is the always the answer either. I teach my children that each situation requires finesse and grace. As you mature you learn that not every battle is worth the fight. Often times I ask myself if it’s worth my time overall. Being stung by a bee doesn’t make every situation a time to look and destroy all bees. Same with humans. We can’t destroy all people because of the interactions of a few. However be wise, some things still need to be addressed.

As we proceed with our day today, keep our thoughts and actions in mind. If there is just cause for a reaction-find one that works. I always remind myself that although many deserve a reaction, I have to be comfortable with what I put out overall. Consider the cost in everything that you do. Mondays are sometimes hard to start and move forward. However Mondays are necessary. So make your Monday all that you can. Trust your gut if you feel something isn’t right. Understand that you may not get the answer right away but that your feeling is valid and is protecting you. Don’t be reactive in everything said and done. So let’s do this Monday and make it amazing.
