Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Knowing what you’re worth is important. Every woman brings gifts and offerings to the table. When someone won’t invite you to the table, make your own. It’s also a good idea to learn the art of speaking up for yourself. Ebony Williams gives us these lessons and more as she builds her luxury wellness brand, Soula Beauty.

Gratitude Lessons

For those who don’t live in a lifestyle of gratitude you are missing out. The ability to learn how to express gratitude is amazing. It keeps you centered for sure. Ebony accounts gratitude being a lesson that has made her stronger.

We spend so much time focused on what we don’t have instead of recognizing how rich our lives are

We all have lives that have waves of ups and downs. Learning to be grateful for the wave is important. Life isn’t a bowl of cherries all the time. It’s still key to be on the side of learning to walk in the gratefulness of it all.

Value Yourself Always

Ebony like so many of us in our younger days found that the concept of knowing your worth seems quite distant. However you have to always love yourself first. Loving yourself also will make sure you know your worth. I see so many times when people who are building businesses won’t set their price to be what is rightful because they believe that by low balling themselves will make them more marketable. Know your worth and charge interest. How much more in our personal lives?

I wish I had spoken up for myself and didn’t worry about being deemed “too much”

Be a Champion of Yourself

Being too much is a concept that we use because someone else has called us that. We bend to someone else’s thoughts and opinions. You have to speak up for yourself. You can only be you. If being you is too much for someone else, let it be their problem. Be you. There’s only one you. Enjoy who you are!

The Thief of Joy

I have hesitated to build my brand because I wasn’t sure if I was good enough

I need everyone with all of the gifts and talents that you have to not hide them. The world has need of what you have to offer. Don’t compare yourself to anyone for any reason. Comparison is the thief of joy. It robs you of the joy of living life with the brakes off. You can’t tap into your potential worrying about the things others are doing.

I saw other people putting out content without the knowledge and experience that I have and shook my head at myself

Like the saying goes, if you won’t build it someone else will! Let it be you with the talent and wherewithal to do it.

Ebony Williams on Soula Beauty

Soula is a luxury wellness brand. When you’re on the website the first thing you will see is the tagline, self care is the way to honor the body. Think about that. Not only does self-care help with maintenance, it is a way to honor yourself. If you can’t commit to your life and the decisions behind it you won’t commit to anything else either. Take self care seriously and make it a daily way of living.

I have seen other creators create luxury brands and thought why can’t there be one created by a Black woman with other women and people of color in mind

Daddy Girl

Ebony channels her dad as her inspiration for her hustle. We love a girl that loves her dad. There are some amazing fathers in the world! Salute to them all! He battled cancer and continued to take care of his business and his family. A man who can’t take care of his family is not a real man at all! We love to hear women talk about their fathers.

Self Care Super Power

Rest is a super power. You need to rest. You need to sleep. Sleep is about renewing yourself and your mind. Ebony loves to remove distractions like your phone, etc. Learning what your body needs is key. Nourish yourself daily.

Motivation to Help Others

When you master loving on yourself you become a champion to help others. Ebony wants to be able to adopt families to help them learn how to take care of or themselves by helping them with the resources they need as it enhances their wellness.

We can support Ebony by supporting her business, Soula Beauty.
