Galentine's Day

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. We have done it. It doesn’t matter if you failed along the way, we are here. So did the week go? What were some of the best parts? Some low ones? Here’s this week’s recap.

Galentine’s Day Celebrations-Friday Recap

Galentine’s Day is on Sunday February 13th. Do not worry I will remind you with a blog that is ready. Its a celebration of friendships. Although it may be something else to buy for if you choose to do so, it’s simply a reminder to love your friends. You can call, Facetime, or spend quality time with a friend too. Whatever you do-make sure that you don’t take your friends for granted. It’s not as simple as “they should know.”

I attended a Galentine’s Day celebration at Louie Louie here in Philadelphia. There were amazing women owned businesses and vendors who had everything from purses to shoes. Women shopped, caught up with friends they hadn’t seen, had champagne and elected to eat and drink some more. It was absolutely great. I am so grateful for all of my girlfriends. The ones near and far.

Chickie & Pete’s and Parx Sportsbook Collaboration

There is a new Chickie & Pete’s and its located in Malvern. There’s a catch.. it is also a Sports betting included. Bet on your favorites while you dine inside of the restaurant. It’s the only one in the United States of its kind.

So if you are a betting woman or man-this is right up your alley. It’s a spacious restaurant. The betting lounge has 4 kiosks. The food of course is delicious too.

Plnt Burger

I took myself on a little date to Plnt Burger. It’s a Burger made with plants. They also have chicken that is made of plants too. You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy it. It’s a great way to try plant based foods that is truly delicious. Not all plant based foods are equal.

Plnt Burger

Some of the burgers and chicken are just not tasty.  I can say with confidence that Plnt Burger is in my personal top 5 of all time. So Friday is your go to day to try something new.  The only regret I have is that I didn’t get a large milkshake. Makes a great excuse to go back!!

Conversations with Toi- Friday Drop

We are back with another episode. I talk about being honest about your true feelings surrounding Valentine’s Day. If you are in a relationship and want a gift stop saying you don’t. If you aren’t in a relationship and Valentine’s Day bothers you-it’s okay to say that as well. Yes you are beautiful and have self love but it doesn’t mean a day that puts pressure on people don’t evoke real feelings. Also we also talk about creating slices of happiness on these apps. Social media is a tool. We can’t control them but we can be responsible for our slices of them and who we follow.

National Pizza Day and Giving Back

Earlier this week Steven Singer and Slice PA gave back to our nurses who are still on the front line. They fed over 750 nurses and that is a great way to give back to those doing so much. They were given heart shaped pizzas from Slice PA. It was such a phenomenal event. Two of the nurses were also presented with Gold dipped roses and other gifts. They were nominated by the patients that they serve.

Friday Pizza

Make sure that you get yourself a heart shaped pizza as it ends on Monday February 14th. You can pick up or have it delivered. You can also set the delivery ahead of time too.
