Happy Wednesday. Here is your mid week check in. Today is National Pizza Day. I hope if you are a pizza lover that you have all of the pizza that your heart can contain. Today is also the last day for the Pizzeria Vetri and La Colombe collaboration for their coffee infused pizza. Trust me if you live in the area, grab a pie, have it delivered, or eat in. This week has been a mental reset. So what went down thus far?

Do Not Disturb

Ever since I started doing some work with a well known Philadelphia PR I have been using my Do Not Disturb on my phone. When I first started helping him with projects after a certain hour his phone always and still does go to do not disturb. I thought it was strange at first but then I stepped back and saw value in it for me. My phone is always going off. When your business like a blog is mostly online, it’s easy to get more notifications than the average person. This do not disturb feature is useful when I need to concentrate on a project.

This week I worked on a project that if I am honest took me until this morning at 2:30am to finalize. I set my do not disturb last night at 6:30pm. I do have it set for certain people that in case of emergency they are able to get ahold of me. Consider doing the same. The peace to get my work done has been amazing.

Project Overload-Wednesday Deadlines

I had several deadlines this week and it’s only Wednesday. I just submitted the biggest one for the week a few moments ago. A lot of work went into this. I had to have all hands on deck. I used all of my blog equipment and stretched myself in ways I haven’t done in the past. However one of the most useful tool I used this week was asking for help. Asking others to help me set myself up for success was key. I hope soon it will pay off in the biggest ways. So if you have a full schedule this week-it’s not weak to ask for help.

Rest-Wednesday Mantra

I am grateful for rest. This week I decided I needed to go to bed at the same time my kids went down. At 8pm I happily went to sleep. No phone, phone on do not disturb, and I used my sound machine. I didn’t know how useful sleep would help me. I had two meetings this week that rest helped me to be able to be attentive, keep my cool, and speak up on behalf of my family. Even though last night I went to sleep this morning at 2:33am the other nights offset it. I’ll be back to early bedtime tonight for sure. Rest is essential to helping each of us to renew our bodies and mind. Also if you are working out for a healthy mindset, rest will help you accomplish your goals.

This Week

For the rest of the week, make a list of what is important to you. Maintain a list of priority. Do not waiver in your self care. Remember self care is not only on Sunday. Daily we are to renew ourselves. So if you have been falling off recommit to it. Make sure that you take care of you. Eat well, sleep, accomplish goals, move something and simply find points of rest. You may not be able to go to bed at 8pm like I did but a quick nap, turning your television off while you sleep, setting your phone away from you so you’re not on it are all ways you can increase productivity.

Valentine’s Day

This is love week. Self love is crucial. Remember that no matter what is happening in your world, you are love and deserving of love. Do not let this holiday take over your mindset. Love on those who love you correctly.
