Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. Let’s talk about a fun filled week full of back to school (finally) and media events. So, what went down this weekend? As we prepare for the weekend remember that we are in a new fall schedule. So, things like relaxing and still including preparations to help make the work week a little more suitable is the goal.

Friday Movie Alert

If you like scary movies, then today is your day. The newest movie, The Nun 2 is out. I am not a scary movie person and I saw it. It is a good solid movie. There were a few parts when I had to close my eyes. That is the purpose of scary movies. I attended the movie premiere that also had The Nun there and it made for an even scarier experience. We enjoyed drinks, desserts, and of course concessions. If you love the series, you will love it. If you haven’t seen the first one you will be fine seeing the second on its own. So, enjoy and stay prayed up.

Conversations with Toi Friday Podcast Drop

Do you believe in intentions and setting them? What about manifestation? The episode is all about it. For our guest this week we have Kurt Johnson – a Law of Attraction Master and a Twin Flame coach on a mission to reshape lives through a holistic approach. He stands apart from conventional online spiritual figures by steering clear of spiritual bypassing guiding individuals beyond mere manifestation techniques.

He acknowledges that change comes from within and respects each individual’s readiness to embark on their unique journey and rediscover their True Selves. Kurt Johnson offers an unconventional perspective, bridging the gap between science and spirituality. Kurt is on a mission to merge the realms of science and spirituality, drawing from his personal encounters with the unseen.

Philly Black Wine Festival

This Saturday is the Philly Black Wine Fest happening at Cherry Pier. I am sad to say but happy to say that all tickets have been sold out. If you love wine, and dressing up the venue will be decorated with beautiful people enjoying wines, food, and color coordinated outfits of brights reds, oranges, and more. The Philly Black Wine Festival is to introduce others to the many Black owned wines and more that are available. To kick off the Philly Black Wine Festival, we enjoyed a little pregame at City Winery. From wine tasting, meeting other Black Creatives and more we really enjoyed our time.

Philly Football Season

The Philadelphia Football season is about to start with the city going green in support of the Philadelphia Eagles. With that being said there are many places for you to watch the game that is going down this Sunday. I ventured to a new spot called Founding Fathers. They have you covered in the most delicious foods, drinks, and atmosphere. We were greeted well; the food was hot, and it was good. Make sure you check them out and add them to your watch list for the weekend’s festivities.

Fall Inspiration

We still have a few more weeks before the Fall kicks in. I have been doing things to prepare. One of the things I would suggest is to start booking your Fall excursions. From pumpkin picking to sunflower fields and hayrides the time to plan is now. My family have a few favorites and I have added Longwood Gardens as a Fall destination to see the Fall foliage. What are your most beloved spaces to be in? Another thing that happens in the Fall is comfort food.

Everyone is adding pumpkin to the drinks, food and more. Seasonal changes also indicate hearty soups and grains to your diet too. So, eat the beans that are in season and enjoy. My whole house gets excited for more hearty meals as for the Summer we focused on quicker meals that enabled to eat lighter. Start crockpot meals and meals planning now to ensure especially if you have a larger family that dinner time isn’t stressful. I am doing a collaboration next week that combines movement in luxury and a little action. Stay tuned for it. In the meantime, I look forward to watching football on Sunday. There is a little family time as we learn to get used to the new back to school schedule. Have an amazing weekend. Find one activity that you love. Happy Friday and cheers to a great weekend.
