Tough Lessons and Monday Struggles

Have you ever woken up from your rest and entered a Monday full of pain? I used to have these moments all the time. It usually stemmed from decision made that I utilized my adulting simply from being old enough to decide vs my grown decision-making processes. These were the times when I relied on other people to pull me out from things that I created. These types of Mondays were always filled with regret. If you ever lived in a season of regret, you know how hard it is to push through with positivity.

Monday

You are not alone if you feel like your steps are not ordered. Everything you touch seems to crumble. These are the honest moments of life. They do not feel good. Here are some of the ways in which helped me in hard times:

  • Be honest with self
  • Write down the failures of the moment
  • Figure how I got to my current place
  • Write down what and where I want to be
  • Divide goals by mind, body, and soul and make a plan for each

Monday Reset

There is a reset that you should be taking over the weekend to enjoy your personal time. When Monday or Sunday if you prefer should be another reset to focus on your goals. To be clear, goals do not end over the weekend. However, it’s about resetting the thoughts around work, school, or conquering your goals as we set to hit as many as we can. For instance, if you have been following me on socials you know I am back in the gym. My reasoning isn’t about fitness but more for my sleep patterns and energy levels. I do a lot. There’s nothing wrong with needing rest. However, I was finding that I am drained and in need of energy. With adding the gym to my already busy schedule it has helped me get deeper sleep and increased energy.

How to Reset for Work or School

If you are able do a cleaning of your office space. A decluttered space does wonders for your mindset. The act of clearing out old papers, filing things, or simply wiping down your workspace is helpful. In addition, make sure you start to organize your space. Organized spaces help to find lost items and things left unattended. I do the same thing with and when I am in my office. I get a lot of products sent to me I am constantly accessing the need for them and giving them away when I no longer need it. This declutters my space in large ways. Also, I love wiping my bookshelf down and moving books around when needed.

Request a meeting with your supervisor or boss if you have one. This is to go over some of your concerns. Some of the biggest reasons that people dread work is that they feel stuck. If you canspeak up about the things that you need to help you be successful it may help. I remember a job I was at when I spoke up and it implemented change almost immediately. I didn’t stay at the job much longer because I was always on the journey to find something better.

As with any Monday, the best steps are usually the first ones. Taking the time to make moves towards your future matter. Take the time to review your situation, find out where you need to correct the wrongs you have made, evaluate the situations, and then make moves towards your future.
