Flower Show

Happy Monday. If you live on the East Coast than you woke up to either rain or snow. If you didn’t send some sunny vibes our way. Today even with the dreary weather, I was able to enjoy some beauty with the Philadelphia Flower Show. They had their press conference and preview today. The Flower Show is coming to Philadelphia from March 4-12th inside at the PA Convention Center.

What to Expect at the Philadelphia Flower Show

There will be bold and colorful exhibits and more. The theme is Garden Electric. The bolder, the more intense colors will be seen. This will be larger than life. From the time you walk in, until you leave will be wall to wall flower displays. In addition due to the love of it being outside last year live music is back. Snacktime is back as one of the official musicians. If you haven’t heard them before you do not want to miss this at all. In addition DJ Aktive, artists from RECPhilly, Zeek Burse, and many others. Also, addition, students from the School District of Philadelphia will perform on the Flower Show’s special family-centric day, Family Frolic.

Why I love the Flower Show

Flowers are a great way to make someone’s day, express love, or just enjoy for self care days. If you like flowers, plant, or other forms of greenery you will love it. The Philadelphia Flower Show is the oldest and biggest show of its kind since 1829. The Flower Show bring about joy, engagement with the community as well as supplies many with jobs, helps with the community gardens, and more. There is something for everyone. From the Kids Cocoon, drinks and bites I love walking around taking my time usually with a friend enjoying the sights. The flowers are also so aromatic too. Leaving the Flower Show for me is an instant mood booster. With it being March 4-12th it’s the perfect event to wash away the Winter Blues or Seasonal Depression and awaken and welcome Spring in all of her glory.

Press Conference Goodies

While at the Press Conference, we were able to enjoy listening to those who are sponsors of the show. Learning about its history was a lot of fun. In addition, we were able to enjoy some bites and make flower bouquets. There were also mock ups of what is to come. I found even the entrance to the Flower Show will be on magnitude not seen before. I loved being with the press and hearing first hand what we can look forward to.

Preview was held at PAFA, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts

There is much to do. I would suggest breaking up your time. Go to the show by yourself or with a friend. Go back again with the whole family, enjoy some me time or make sure you go to the Flower Show After Hours Party. I went last year and it was phenomenal. So check out last year’s blog to get ready. It is highly suggested that you get your tickets now. Tickets will increase in price as it gets closer to opening. It will definitely be a worthy event. I will be behind the scenes for media day to give you that sneak peek before it’s open to the public and more. This is an event you don’t want to miss.

Thanks to the sponsors and the PHS Gardening Team for having me and making me a #flowershowfriend to help you navigate this. I hope to see you all in March to welcome Spring with the best flowers in the world!
