Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy December! We are now a month away from a fresh start. December has come in and feels like a mad dash to get through the holidays and more. So as we get ready to celebrate with family and friends let’s take a reminder about a few things that we need to be preparing for.

Holidays and End of Year Preparation

We have so many things even those who feel as if they don’t. As you think about your Christmas list this year have you considered using this time to prepare for what lies ahead? When Christmas comes I usually look at my business and ask myself what do I need to be successful? New Gadgets? Planner? Focus on those things first. Whatever field you are in consider using your money or pool a group of people to get gift cards towards what you need. It’s a way to cut down your own expenses. I already have a working list of things starting with a planner, new stationary, another ring light and more.

December Round Up

Think about your year. What worked for you? Name one thing that you are proud of. You have to have at least something that you can highlight. Take the time to pat yourself on the back for a job well done. I have written down from the start of this year the wins that I had. For instance, financially this has been the most lucrative year for the blog. I have had some impressive deals happen this year. I am always in awe of when I get to see the fruits of my hard work. There has been some lows too. I’ve had to go and get more help from my doctor and therapist than I have had to in a long time. This year even more than the active unbearable first years of Covid-19. I am not ashamed of it either. It’s better for me to be open and honest than secretive and broken.

Lessons in Business

This year “standing on business” has caused me to see the lack of practices that have occured. Some of it I take full responsibility. When you know better you will do better. I started off by sending every partner a letter of conduct. It not only outlines expectations for me but what I expect in returns. From late charges to severing business ties 2024 has to come with heavy boundaries. In addition no more free advice. I have given so much free advice on my blog already. So far those who have asked me for advice have had no problems paying for my time. I appreciate you. If you are inquiring yes I will take more clients in 2024. So anyone looking for consultation email me at toitimeblog@gmail.com

Family Strength

My family keeps me going. They are the most understanding when I am “running these streets” to secure things for us as a unit. People ask me all of the time how do I balance and the answer is I have the most supportive family. I sometimes plating dinner before I walk out the door. My husband is right behind me putting the kids to bed. It’s not even left on him when I come in from an event and immediately edit or writing. I have too much content to let sit. I use my content planner and its always on me. My family allows me on my down days to rest. I take care of the house and meal prep too but I get to simply be me with no make on in my Comfy relaxing.

You are who you Network

I am being held by an amazing network. From increased ads that matter to me, to website overhauls and technical support there’s nothing that I can’t do. They are the fuel that keep Toitimeblog going. I also want to thank them for answering late phone calls, helping with emails, taking Zoom to share screens and solving problems. Make sure you have the right professionals in your corner. This is beyond having friends that support which is nice. You need the right network that will have skills and connections.

Holidays and the Overload

So when it comes to the holidays I keep saying it over and over again about taking the time to focus on what you believe in. Make a list of the things that you value over gifts and things. Take care of your mental health. The holidays will come and go but losing yourself in this last wave of the final quarter is not what anyone wants. Take breaks. Rest. Say no. So happy 1st of December. Don’t forget to add some goals this month. Happy December!
