Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

New Year

I know we want to step ahead for the New Year but there are a few things we need to keep. So let’s dive into a few things on the planner. So what are the things that we need to keep and do a better job in cultivating for our mental health and health in general.

New Year Goals

I know that many will say the saying New Year, New Me. There are many that despise making resolutions. That is fine for you. I am going to be on team encourage others to do their best. There are many times where public displays of failure makes us judge others. However I am a strong believer that we all have things that we are working on and failing on daily. Just because others are failing publicly do not get too comfortable that they are going to end that way forever. So let people renew that hope and anticipation. Encourage people seeking those things that will add to their lives especially when their choices are helpful or could lead to a better way of life.

New Year

Better Sleep

We are not getting the right amount of sleep. There are some that are doing better than others. Add sleep into your plans for the Year. Things like your night time routine helps make your morning routine even better. If we talk about getting up and eating breakfast and more it starts with being up and cognate enough to make that decision. Good decisions start when we are rested. If you struggle with sleep you are not alone. There are natural sleep aids that help. Sound machines are a great way to add sleep into your world too. So add a sleep plan into your life immediately. Sleep helps renew you as well as helps with weight management.

Eating Habits in the New Year

I am not a licensed dietitian or nutritionist. Thank God for those who are in the field. Keep in mind that every diet plan has a hiccup or two to them. So if you are struggling with eating habits let’s focus on doing better. From the times of days that we eat to what we consume. In addition to better eating habits let;’s plan our meals better. Increase fruits and veggies including lean meats and more are always a great way to enjoy you eating habits. So be open to being coachable. Coachability is something we need across all relationships. Being smart or knowing where to go and get effective help are two different things.

New Year

Self Improvement Initiatives

Things like going to bed but making your room conducive to rest important. Things like writing in your journal or starting the day with gratitude are amazing tools. Take a solo trip, staycation, or some other retreat are also helpful. There are many tools that people use to manage their mental health and more. One tool that you deeply rely on may not fully work for others. For instance I love therapy. The thought of having someone that I can speak to in times of high stress has been helpful for me. There are some who don’t like it but use other tools to assist them. No one should debate which one is the best. The best is what works when you need it.

New Year

You know that the New Year’s Message is ready. Be careful as you celebrate. Do NOT drink and drive. Get a designated driver. Designated drivers this means making sure that you haven’t had anything to drink and not simply less than your friends. AAA has their tow to go. It’s a program that will tow the driver and their car to a location up to 10 miles.
