Monday Mental Health

Happy Monday! I hope today find you in the best spirit possible. Every Monday won’t be filled with happy smiles. Sometimes getting up and doing the basics is enough. This weekend we lost another Angel. Let’s talk about it! We need to pray, aid, and uplift.

Hurt People

It’s easy to think about the many why’s of people who are hurting. As deep as the pain is for someone they may not be able to see their way out. When people can’t see their way out they think the worse of their situation. People may not also have peace in their life. If you have ever been in a situation where you felt lost it may be overwhelming.

Monday uplift

What is the reason?

I’m not a fan of people feeling that they have to know every detail of a person’s life. Some things are private for a reason. We don’t need to know why people are in the despair that they are in. Sometimes knowing why can help the person with a solution. Let’s be honest! Most of the time when someone is going through people want to know so they have something to talk about. Very few pray, aid, or uplift. This is why everyone needs solid people they can talk to. We all need that.

Monday Uplift

Pray, Aid, or Uplift

Everyone needs solid people who can pray, aid, and uplift. Where one can pray for others. Someone else can aid. You can aid in finding resources for someone. Pay for their copay for mental health resources. Take someone to an appointment or provide ride share fare for them to get there. Watch their children so they can go to a resource. There are a million and one ways to aid.

Uplifting is something we can all do. Hold someone up in the same manner you would want in return. You can’t speak down on, tell the business, and uplift at the same time. When someone is in a bad way it’s always people after the fact saying, “I wish they would have called me!” Ask yourself do you generally make it easy for someone to do so. If they hear how you talk down on others who are publicly going through why would they come and bring their private issues.

Monday Mental Health

Mental Health is Real: Monday Check-In

For those who constantly say that mental health is an excuse I can understand your sentiment. It would appear that many use it to get out of legal issues. Beyond that it still doesn’t mean that people don’t deal with mental health issues often. It has nothing to do with the status of your life. You can have it all or nothing and still be touched by mental health needs. Be careful when you speak on something you haven’t experienced.

Monday uplift

If you’re the type that because you don’t have a shared experience, diminishes the experience of another you aren’t helping. Every person deals with mental health needs from anxiety to depression and every feeling in between.

Monday Love

The shock of the death of Cheslie Kryst is being felt worldwide. As someone who has openly been okay to speak about my mental health needs I dare not act as if I understand what she went through. No one knows or will ever know what was on her heart and mind. I pray that when situations happen like this a few reminders:

  • You matter
  • Life can change for the better
  • You are seen

If one person reading this feels seen than I’m doing what I know I need to do. I want to always encourage you to be your best even even you’re not feeling your best. If you are interested in therapy, I made some things to look out for as you start your journey. If you are feeling suicidal I want you to call the Suicide Prevention number: 1-800-273-8255 or use the Lifeline to chat!

Monday uplift

I also want you to listen to my podcast about dealing with mental health. Trust me I have been in church my whole life. Everyone wants you to pray it away. You may need to pray and have an action plan!

Happy Monday and I pray a special coverage over everyone today and always! I know todays Monday Motivation is different but this is a real experience and we have to work on goals and sometimes that goal is good mental health!
