Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Monday. Welcome to another week. We are now in the first full week of the month of December. So many things are trying to get our attention. So if you had a lot going on this past weekend like myself, here are some ways to get aligned for the week and their goals.

Set Your Personal Goals-Monday Reminder

As a Wife and Mother I am already managing quite a lot. From schedules and more there is a lot going on. However outside of my business goals are my own personal goals. This week I am managing my anxiety levels. I have planned travel at the end of the week so making sure that I am not overwhelmed is key.  Managing the things that surround travel this week for me is what I will focus on. Also I have some accomplishments that I am in the works of making a reality too. Focus on what you need. Start off with your personal goals. Is it working out at least 2-3 times this week? How do you manage to getting that done? Things like adding the gym into your schedule or preparing your clothes will assist in those needs.

Make Time for Self Care

It may not make sense to talk about self care as we start our day but its important. Self care isn’t something that you do when you can. You add it into you schedule to take care of yourself. For instance I started my day with a Starbucks run. That helped me enjoy my latte but ensure I had breakfast. I added  nail appointment since the weekend was too busy for it. Finding an hour on top of meetings and appointments are helpful for me. I also added in some down time. One hour for at least 2 days where I don’t do anything. I shut my schedule down for Thursday to enjoy my kids and not worry about media events or having to be dressed up to go anywhere. These are things that when added will help me mellow out and still get my long list of to dos done.

Monday Joys

I always start my days trying to find joys. This is a complete opposite of who I was years ago when I would be miserable for no reason. I know for a certain is the major reason as to why my tolerance is low to those who use their miserableness as a shield. I get why people feel the way they do. It’s however not on others to tolerate your issues. So I have a few friend who love to complain for the art of complaint. Nothing is ever right. Life is always bad. I tend to remove myself and purposely withdraw from their energy. Everyday is a joy. It doesn’t mean I have to be happy all the time to experience simple joy. Today’s joy was getting the kids to school on time. Making dinner at 6am this morning knowing that would ease my schedule for the next two days was a joy. Also listening to a podcast and laughing. Find your joy.

As we progress into our Monday vibes don’t forget to have a great day! Enjoy the simple joys and more! Have a great one!
