Monday reminders

Happy Monday. What a great day to have a good day. If you are enjoying a much needed and welcomed day off-kudos to you. It’s President’s Day observance and many are off today. You may have started your day without your normal routine. If you are working today or have a long to do list, I send good vibes your way.

Monday Mantra

Whether off or working we all need to start the week with a mantra that we apply for our week. I started my week mantra yesterday with how I started my Sunday. I allowed myself to truly rest. In addition to the much needed rest and making sure that I had content completed I also made sure that I set my goals on my white board. I have one of the biggest white boards in my home. It was gifted to me from a campaign. I can always tell how focus I am by my usage of it. What is your word of the week that you want to focus on? That is the start of your mantra.

Focused and Shifted Goals

Many times I am focused but others time I notice that goals have to be shifted. Anytime goals have to be shifted sometimes its allowing my mind to accept the shift. Many like myself struggle because goals are never supposed to change. When they do it looks like failure. Shifting is a skill set all in itself. So if you are like me and struggle in this area you’re not alone. I don’t giving up your goals completely. I mean learning the road to goal completion may look different than the original vision.

Start of your Day: Monday Reset

Morning rituals are important. People complain about having a morning ritual but its important to be an active participant in your day than simply allowing it to happen. I start my day with a podcast listen. It doesn’t necessarily mean my own but that’s a great start. Writing of the day’s desires and goals helps too. Crossing things off make me feel accomplished. Also eating. My days can vary. Sometimes I am out of the house by 530 am. Others days it could be later. No matter what, I make sure that I eat. If I am truly pressed for time and haven’t prepared for my morning food, I will elect to have  smoothie. It’s about taking the time to get the day rolling.

Monday Reminders

Being Honest

Honesty is always the best policy. In being honest about what you can or can’t do it helps you to find who you need on your team. For instance I know that it requires too much work to keep control of invoicing. I was failing at it. I had to use apps and Content Creator tools like Lumanu to help me to get better and organized. Instead of the self talk about what I should be able to do, I was honest about not being able to keep it altogether.

Sometimes honestly might come in the form of being “stuck” in a position that you are in. I have had many moments where I knew it was time to go but it scary to start new things. Other honest moments comes in how we allow others to handle us. I had a friend that stated that because she and I were friends for so long, they didn’t have to change.

Monday

We are evolving and growing. As we change so do our needs. The friends and relationships in general around us have to grow too. It’s okay to have others treat you well. The old ways don’t always work. If you are being honest and respectable about what you need it’s okay.

Monday

Short Week Long Hours

Is it just me? We have these short weeks by days like today and they seem longer than a regular week? Take advantage of your day today to set your week to be successful. Have some down time today? Enjoy it. Decided what is important to you. For me I took Sunday evening to prepare food, do laundry, and more. So now today outside of some behind the scenes work that I should be done by 11am, I am good to rest. I have noticed I asked God for more rest and I have been taking them. Don’t ask for something you aren’t ready to walk in. Ask for a job, be prepared to do the work.
