Louie Louie

Louie Louie located in Philadelphia never ceases to amaze me with their changes of the menu. Let’s face it brunch is a an experience. The art of getting dressed to dine with family and friend is what weekends are made for. So when I got the opportunity to taste the newest menu offerings at Louie Louie, it was a no brainer.

Before you go to Louie Louie

Louie Louie is under the Fearless Restaurant umbrella. It is located at 3611 Walnut Street. As soon as you walk in you get the vibes of a French American dining with a modern twist. However when you dine you are served and serviced with Southern hospitality. It is highly suggested that you make reservations. Their weekend brunch fills up fast. Even while we were there the dining room was buzzing with patrons. You can order your food to take out as well although I believe once you have laid eyes on it you will want to dine in. There is something on the menu for all. Expec quality food and great service. It is also extremely photogenic. Unlike some locations that provide glitz and glam and very little good food, Louie Louie is pleasing to the eye and stomach.

Brunch Vibes

Why is brunch such an experience. Brunch allows you time to connect and slow down. This isn’t a breakfast or lunch you simply eat quickly. Brunch allows you to catch up with friends and family, celebrate milestones, or even simply enjoy a first date. When you brunch you want to enjoy a full experience. From cocktails to mocktails you can expect Louie Louie to prepare things to you liking.

Louie Louie

There are many new offerings for the weekend brunch menu that is absolutely worth trying. We had to have tried over 10 dishes. Although the dishes were outstanding I will be sharing at least 3 of them that stood out to me.

Creme Brulee French Toast

It is everything that the title of the dish suggests, creme brulee that is made on top of french toast as it encases some of the best berry jam. The first bite to the last it awakens the taste buds. More than filling, this dish is set to make you smile. If you love french toast and creme brulee separately you will be wowed by the combination that it brings.

Shrimp and Grits

These are not your run in the mill shrimp and grits. These grits are made to perfection. For my southern eaters if you know you know that grits have to have to be smooth and free of lumps. The one thing you will notice when you eat them is that no matter if you take a bite with or without shrimp, each bite is wrapped in flavor. It is also served with a sunny side egg. I am quite sure if sunny side is not your thing you can have the egg made to your liking. Sunny side eggs aren’t usually my thing however I ate every piece and was satisfied.

Charcuterie Chopped Salad

It is a charcuterie lovers board. The salad takes the elements of salami, mortadella, pepperoni, olives, and tomato along with pesto and a toasted baguette crumbles and drizzles it with a vinaigrette. It is refreshing and delicious at the same time.

Brunch with Drinks

Brunch isn’t complete without something wonderful to drink with it. From an amazing Sparkling Hibiscus Lemonade that I really enjoyed to the Summer Spritz. The Summer Spritz can be ordered as one glass, or a tower for 5. What this means is you can choose from Aperol, Lillet Rouge, St-Germain, Nonino Aperitivo, or Les Bon Amis. Of course for those who drink and love a great Spritzer I am encouraging you to try the tower. It always seems more enjoyable to have choices and options.
