ToiTime

Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

If you love time to yourself, vacation with family, or even just a pleasant beach day with food and more, lean into this blog. For the second time in a row, I took a staycation trip with Fearless Restaurants to Daddy O in LBI. In addition, we enjoyed amazing dining experience at their restaurant and Tucker’s Tavern. Here is the breakdown and deets to booking your next experience with Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant.

Why Staycation at Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant?

Daddy O is in LBI or Long Beach Island in New Jersey. It’s a little under 2 hours from Philadelphia. The travel is easy and direct without a lot of issues. You can choose to take the road with a toll or not. For me is great as I love to take road trips. In addition to a smooth ride is the level of hospitality that I received as soon as I got there. My room was clean and ready for me as soon as I was there. Check in was a super effortless process. In addition to that there were warm cookies waiting at the check in desk too. Cookies are not necessary for a wonderful experience, but it helped make me feel welcomed. Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant does an excellent job making sure that you have a great beach stay by also providing umbrellas, towels, and chairs for your time at the beach and there’s no extra cost.

If you love being at the beach whether that’s to get into the water, mediate, or lay out in the sun, Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant has you covered. For me, being near the water is always a great self-care plan. The fact that their location is a mere 2-minute walk to the sand and water is an extra added plus.

New Additions to the Hotel and Restaurant

I loved that immediately I could tell that the lobby had been redone. The hotel industry is always one that must constantly upgrade and renovate to meet the current themes of hospitality. In addition to making sure that the hotel looks good they are always doing things to improve their food and drink offerings. For instance, I love that I was able to sit in the Rum Bar Patio. Last year it rained so hard that I checked in and took a nap before our scheduled dinner time. This time it still rained but it was after my Rum Bar Patio experience. The food was delicious and like always my drink, The Raspberry Crush was delicious.

Rosé Sangria

Hampton Water and Summer Cocktails

Summer should be light and fun. Hampton Water supplied us with three signature cocktails to enjoy. If you aren’t familiar with Hampton Water its curated by Jon Bob Jovi’s son, Jesse and his roommate, Ali Thomas. The rosé started out from their experience drinking in the Hamptons. Jesse devised an entire business plan and met with his dad who outsourced it to a Paris winemaker named Gerard Bertrand and the rest is history. The rosé is not overly sweet in any way. The perfect rosé for summer is here and now being curated into signature cocktails to liven up your summer plans. The cocktails that we had were Rosé Rita, Spicy Watermelon Rita, and Rosé Sangria. The one that I loved the best was the Rosé Sangria especially when it got down to the bottom were the wine and fruit fermented together.

They also gifted us swag and autographed hats which I appreciated.

Dining in Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant

The dining that we experienced with other Influencers, Bloggers, and Newspersons was good to be around everyone. We were able to learn a little more about others we may have seen at other media events but hadn’t quite met yet. We were able to after drinking cocktails with Hampton Water and having light bites to enjoy more appetizers and choose an entree, dessert, and more cocktails if we choose. You know my two-drink minimum was crushed because I wasn’t driving. I did however have a pineapple wine and kept it light for the dining portion but enjoyed an Espresso Martini in my room. For dinner I enjoyed scallops and risotto. It was delicious. The menu has quite a lot to offer from salads, burgers, steaks, and more. What I loved was being able to be in the atmosphere with everyone. If you have ever gone to dinner with an Influencer, you know that the camera eats first. That can irritate those not in the industry. However, for us to take content back for our own communities to know and be informed it’s necessary.

Daddy O
Scallops and Risotto

I enjoyed an amazing shower and sleep that night. It’s something about feeling restful that sets your entire day. Thank you, Daddy O’s Hotel and Restaurant, for that experience.

Yoga Bohemia for Yoga by the Beach

The next day after all that food and drink, I woke up initially at 530am since I didn’t stop my alarm clock settings. However, I did go back to sleep but was psyched to do yoga on the beach with Yoga Bohemia with Katie. She asked us our intentions were for the class instead of just doing a class. I enjoyed that. We wanted to stretch but also have a meditative vibe with it. An extra unplanned bonus was that we were able to catch some dolphins at play.

Bends and Brunch

Starting June 25, 2023, Bends and Brunch is being offered. For $50 you can do beach yoga and then go to Daddy O’s Restaurant for brunch. It is the best of both worlds. Feed your body and mind. Get your tickets now.

Tucker’s Tavern

We always end our experience at Tucker’s Tavern. Last year they made these beautiful fishbowls that we enjoyed but not to the fullest. This year I cleared my schedule so I wouldn’t have to run back right away. The fishbowl I had this time was a Spicy Pomegranate Margarita. It was delicious. Tucker’s Tavern can seat up to 450 people. It is massive with both indoor/outdoor seating as well as private event space too. Located near the beach it’s a wonderful way to let your hair down and enjoy the breeze. For lunch I had Agave Grilled Salmon that was served with grilled corn-snow peas succotash and summer basil salad. Plus, they served an assortment of appetizers to enjoy.

Most of the Influencers had left so a few that stayed behind had dessert. I didn’t enjoy but my girl, Elle of Siponwhat had an Espresso Tiramisu. It looked good.

Why Book Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant?!

Overall, the trip was great. I personally relaxed, did yoga, enjoyed the sleep, ate tasty food and drinks, and even went back to the beach for a little down time before leaving. Staycations goals were met at Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant with Fearless Restaurant. Here are a few take aways:

Book with Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant if you love a great beach hotel experience. Do not forget they also have a rooftop bar that allows you to look onto the beach.

If you work remotely consider booking them to change your environment. The Wi-Fi worked great as I have been able to do work while there too

Consider the drinks and food you could stay at Daddy O Hotel and Restaurant and not leave but if you want different experience, I suggest Tucker’s Tavern which is less than a 15 minute drive or Uber/Lyft

Thank you

Not interested in leaving the Philadelphia area at all for a beach day no worries continue to support all the Fearless Restaurants as they provide tasty food and service no matter which one you go to.
