Fall Round Up for Self Care
Can you tell I love Fall? The Fall content has been so strong. So now that we are in Fall its time to shift in taking care of ourselves more, eating well, and doing whatever we need to maintain our mental health and more. So what are the ways that makes sense to me? I hope that this inspires you.
Gadgets for Self Care
In a world that rarely slows down, self-care gadgets offer a gentle nudge toward intentional rest and restoration. The Hatch Restore 2 is a sunrise alarm clock-meets-sound machine that mimics natural light to ease you into wakefulness or wind you down with calming hues and guided meditations. For those craving tactile comfort, the TheraFace PRO blends facial massage, LED therapy, and microcurrent toning in one sleek handheld device—ideal for decompressing after long advocacy days or Philly outings. And if your nervous system needs a reset, the Apollo Neuro wearable delivers gentle vibrations scientifically designed to improve focus, reduce stress, and deepen sleep.

These tools aren’t just tech—they’re invitations to pause, breathe, and reconnect with your body. Whether you’re scripting infographics on grief or parenting with emotional intelligence, integrating self-care gadgets into your routine can transform fatigue into fuel. They’re especially powerful for neurodivergent folks and busy families who benefit from sensory-friendly, low-effort wellness. Consider pairing these devices with seasonal rituals—like cozy tea prep or journaling—to create a layered, healing experience that resonates beyond the screen. Enjoy your finds for my tech savvy community.
Recipes and Food Choices
Fall allows us to slow down. If you missed my Fall newsletter check out two recipes. Take the time to learn new dishes especially with seasonal foods. Soups are a great way to make food in bulk for lunch or dinners. Also a great chili goes a long way too. What is in your fridge or cabinet will be what you consume. For instance I am intentional with making sure the snacks that are available for me taste good but are better options. Do the same to get you moving.

Speaking of Movement
I was talking to a friend about how I know Seasonal Depression is around the corner. So even with time being limited making space for movement can happen at home. From home yoga to getting equipment that will allow for you to use privately. Here are a few things that people don’t talk often. There are some people who hate to work out in front of others. Then you have some who struggle without group classes. If you need to be around others consider joining community meetups. Use coupons or do an introductory lesson. When I did my very first cycling class it was free.
To save money I also did 2 classes a month. I didn’t have to commit to anything long term and its available anytime I need it.
Layer Up
I forgot one way of life that my mom taught me. I was reminded of it last week. Get staple pieces and work in more options once or twice a month. Never get too proud to do a little thrift shopping. I remember being so embarrassed as a kid to do so. Now with 3 kids of my own its pricey to shop trends for them. I let them pick a few pieces of trendier pieces that they can mix and match with their Fall staples.

As we layer find pieces that you love and add a little color too. From cardigans and more the weather will get crisp for those who live in cooler to cold areas of the world.
Fall Drinks aka Coffee Shop Runs and Homemade Alternatives
I absolutely love going to coffee shops. Last week I ran into one by accident and it was so dreamy. I ordered a cherry vanilla chai latte. However to save on that $11 and over indulgence I have ordered my favorite cold brews, creamers, and cold foam. Not sure when cold foams became a thing but it is my thing. The obsession with matcha has taken over too. Be sure no matter if its chai, matcha, coffee, tea and more to do it all in moderation. For instance I limit my coffee intake to only a few times a week with Sunday being my indulgent day.

Go and grab your fall drink alternatives and be prepared. My goal is to make a coffee nook in my home. I am already a few steps to it but plan to be my own baristas.

From Fall drinks, clothes, technology this is just the beginning. Bring joy into your space. Change your hair color, add new color makeup, new fun socks, and more.
