Blogiversary

This month I will be blogging every day. You read that correctly. Every day there will be new content. How do I accomplish this, I have been writing and preparing content ahead of time and will drop one new blog daily. I have gotten to year 7 from doing what I love and that’s writing. I will be sharing some of the lessons I have learned in this journey this month. We are going to talk about mean women in the industry, companies who want more than they are willing to pay, and how to maintain a personal life but be vulnerable in your post and platform. After 7 years I want to help someone else coming into the game. If you ever wanted to blog, trust me I got you. I also offer services for budding bloggers. You can email me at toitimeblog@gmail.com for more information and pricing.

New Month (November) Now What?

If you think last month went fast, you will watch this month go super fast. From the fact that before you even carve your turkey, Christmas is knocking on your door. From trying to order the things you want for family and friends, to actually getting to Thanksgiving I want you to get organized with what you want. Before family and friends start making demand on your time get a plan. What do you really want to do? Cook less? Do it. Be intentional about how you move.

Don’t look and the month simply just happened. Make the moves that will help you in the long run. For instance we will most likely do Thanksgiving at home. We will have a low key time. I will be focusing on making memories and not as much as the pomp and circumstance that usually comes with the holidays.

Plans Make Them

I know we sometimes like to let things simply happen. Make some plans. Find ways to break up the month by putting plans. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Staycation before the end of the year
  • Facial appointment or some other skin care appointment
  • Family photos
  • Friendsgiving
  • Send cards to loved ones you won’t be able to see
  • Road Trip

Either way make some plans. I believe we will be doing at least 4 off the list. You know I am a firm believer of a staycation. For the last 3 years I either do one by myself or one with my husband before the end of the year. November is the best time before Christmas and New Year come in. My favorite location is with Sonesta.

Preparing for New Quarter

Its crazy to believe that in less than two months, Quarter 1 will be here. We will be closing out 2021 and entering 2022. I have been hearing that 2022 is the year of Transformation. I am preparing by getting my new planner. I know last year has taught us that plans can be changed. We should always be ready for change. However with that being said we have to be ready. So I have purchased my planner. I also looked at the things I need for Quarter for the business. Things like camera, and other equipment, accounts, etc. I have made a list. I will place them on my Christmas list. As I get them I will cross them off. Whatever isn’t gotten as gifts will be purchased. This will cut down on stress of wondering what I need. For instance my website fees as I maintain them etc.

November Events Coming Up

Remember I update my monthly calendar and events specifically on Facebook. Follow so you don’t miss a thing. There are a lot of events coming in November:

Peddler’s Village

Starting on the evening of November 19, the Village will be aglow with one million colorful lights. Santa will mark his first appearance this year at the Village on Friday, November 19 at 6:30 p.m., when he will be entertaining guests by the Gazebo and strolling through the Village. The holiday lights will be on display through January 12, 2022.

Peddlers Village holiday

November 19 also marks the opening of the Gingerbread Competition and Display, which this year is sponsored by NJM Insurance and will be held in the spacious Red Barn on Street Road Green. The free event will include more than 70 creative entries and will be on view through January 8, 2022. (The display will be closed on Christmas Day.) From Friday, November 15 through Sunday, November 21, the Village will host a Merchants Open House, during which the 65 specialty shops and boutiques will welcome guests for gift-giving ideas and the opportunity to enjoy warm, personal service as part of their holiday shopping experience. More than 95% of the shops at Peddler’s Village are small businesses and/or locally owned. Because of this, Peddler’s Village is an ideal destination to celebrate Small Business Saturday, which occurs this year on November 27.

Two restaurants at Peddler’s Village will be serving special dinners on Thanksgiving Day: Cock ‘n Bull is presenting an expansive buffet from 11 am to 6 pm, and Earl’s New American will be presenting Thanksgiving specials along with its regular menu. Buttonwood Grill will be open for breakfast from 8 am to 10 am.

Bristol Riverside Theatre

Bristol Riverside Theatre’s (120 Radcliffe Street) 35th Anniversary Season continues with Bucks County premiere of TONY Nominee (Ain’t Too Proud) Dominique Morriseau’s timely play about four Detroit auto workers, Skeleton Crew. This OBIE Award recipient and multiple Audelco Award winner in its 2016 premiere at Atlantic Theatre Company in New York is the third play in her Detroit Project (A three play cycle that includes Paradise Blue and Detroit ‘67). The BRT production is directed by Cameron Knight, the new head of the BFA Acting Program at Rutgers University and features an ensemble of actors making their BRT debuts. Skeleton Crew runs November 2nd to November 21st.

brt new show

Opening Night is Thursday, November 4 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 to $50, with discounts available for students and military. A limited number of $10 tickets are available for Bristol Township residents courtesy of Flager & Associates, PC. As always, Bristol Borough residents can receive $5 tickets for preview performances. For this show, audience members must show proof of vaccinations and wear a mask. For tickets and health protocols, visit brtstage.org or call 215-785-0100.

Other things to help prepare is to make sure that your needs are covered. What can you save ahead for? I saved for Christmas so it doesn’t come out of my regular household money. Christmas comes the same time every year. My husband’s and daughter birthday is in the same month of February so I set money aside. Also for Freelancer work, it could possibly slow down. So make sure my savings covers me should that happen. So far I look to be okay but just in case. Get intentional in how you move this month. Let’s move smarter not harder. Happy November and let’s make it amazing!
