Museum of Illusions

I am not sure how I had not been to Museum of Illusions until this week. However it was a joy to go and enjoy. I attended Museum of Illusions in support of Wellness Phl’s Ovarian Cancer benefit. All of this month there are several events to raise money. I was blessed to be apart of it. So how was the experience?

Before you Go to Museum of Illusions

Plan to spend at least 45-60 minutes inside. The museum has quite a few photo and video opportunities. They are interactive. I would suggest taking another person. There were staff that can help too. I was going to take my tripod but decided against it. The shots I took still came out okay. There are lockers for you to use to store your items. You set a 4 pin code. It was big enough for me to store me and my youngest coats and my purse. There is a coat rack. Storing your coat is on your own judgement. I appreciated the lockers.

I go to a lot of photo installations and this is the only one that had them. Tickets are timed but once in you have plenty of time to roam. Also at the end there is also a gift shop too. I think that kids ages 5 and up would appreciate it more. There isn’t an age limitation but since there’s not much to climb on-consider that before taking smaller children.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Make it a day of enjoying an outing in Philadelphia.

Also purchase your tickets before you come. You save a few more dollars if you do so.

Favorite Rooms in Museum of Illusions

My youngest was supposed to be at school however a doctor appointment turned into a little Mommy and Me day. I was impressed with the Museum of Illusions as a whole. They did an amazing job playing on sight, and more. The Topsy Turvy room aka the Anti Gravity Room was one of my favorites. It truly does play on your equilibrium. My youngest did better than I did in that room. You feel like you are going to topple over but you never do. I loved it for the brilliance of the makeup of the room to be honest.

Infiniti Room

This room was so much fun. Since there was not a lot of people my daughter and I was able to have some private time in there. We spun, jumped, played, and enjoyed seeing ourselves in the many mirrors. It’s a fun room to be in. You get to see yourself in so many angles.

The Vortex Room

I believe this was my daughter’s favorite. It made me feel like I was going to fall over. I went into that room pretty quickly. It is fun so don’t take the fake that it does take a lot out of you to mean that the room isn’t fun. The room is probably one of the crowd’s favorite. I saw where many people went into it more than once.

Museum of Illusions

The Museum of Illusions is a fun way to have some indoor fun. From the rooms ability to make you think or just enjoy seeing the many ways that they were able to transform it is just phenomenal. Remember to get your ticket before you go. Parking is available as street parking. Come prepared to have fun. Be open to all of the senses.

I highly recommend families going to enjoy it. Also don’t be shy and grab a few friends as well. Either way let me know how you like it. Thank you for having me Wellness Collective, and Philly PR Girl as we continue to raise awareness and money for Ovarian Cancer.
