Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

I think I’ve been doing reviews of restaurants for quite some time. They have been good but Positano Coast really is above the curve. It’s apart of the Lamberti Family of restaurants. If it sounds familiar to you as you follow me it’s because I was just at Cafe Aldo Lamberti for our anniversary dinner in August! Catch that blog here!

So maybe you’re not following me on Instagram. You can change that by following me you might have missed my stories that showed the awesomeness of Positano Coast. So let’s start with what we had and then get into the grading.

Appetizers

We and when I say we I mean my husband and I went to the Influencer Night that allowed us to choose which day and time. We were socially distanced from everyone having our own table for two! It was nice if I must say! Having the ability to have a date night while blogging is always a great plus.

Chilled Lobster

So we had chilled lobster. It was absolutely hands down amazing! Served with mango, avocado, and mustard vinaigrette it was an absolute treat.

My husband isn’t a fan of avocado so he got his without!

Both were delicious. You could taste the freshness in every bite.

Main Course

I decided to keep it in the seafood family since I don’t eat meat. You know the drill I do indulge in other meals for blogging but at home and anywhere else I’m full on vegan for health reasons! I got the seafood risotto. If you have had any risotto you know that it’s thick and better if eaten hot. This was absolute perfection. Oh and I even had to go to the restroom and even with coming back to my plate, it was still hot! Can we say that’s a great thing! The seafood risotto was made with Arborio rice, baby shrimp, mussels, and calamari!

My husband…he got the pork chop Milanese. He also got a side of linguini with Alfredo sauce. I don’t eat meat but goodness this pork chop looked absolutely amazing. Take a look:

A Drink or Two?!

Nothing is better than an evening out than great drinks. Drinks can make or break the experience. I usually judge a restaurant by their drinks especially since that’s the first thing they start you out with. Being that I do drink quite a few cocktails often you know for research purposes 😉 I care about how well the drink is made.

I had the Lucy I’m Home. This was made with Espolon, Aperol, Strawberry compote, lemon and rhubarb bitters. It was good and refreshing. My eyes automatically went to it and I knew I had to have it. They passed the alcohol test. I can’t be the only one who hates a watered down drink especially when you see the menus prices aren’t low level I need the drinks to match every time!

My husband he had the Wingman! It was made with Kinsey Bourbon, mint, lemongrass, Barrow’s ginger liquor and lime. He said he loved it. You know I did my hey husband let me try your drink look and he’s not lying…it’s good!

So before we end with dessert let me give you a my run down.

Since Covid-19 I’ve been picky on where I am and who I am around. I in no way want to get it or pass it on to my children! Not every restaurant that says they practice social distance follows them. Some will do the bare minimal just to keep folks in the seats and their pockets aligned. I get the why since so many restaurants have lost money. However Positano Coast has the highest levels of social distancing happening. They have all their workers whether they are serving you or not in masks. Everyone is observed washing their hands. I ran into someone in the bathroom and they were washing vigorously and that’s a good sign. Nothing worse than seeing the chef or server leave a bathroom with unwashed hands!

Another thing I look at when I’m dining is the patrons. Are they diverse? The answer is absolutely yes. It was a sea of beautiful people with beautiful colors all around us (socially distanced).

Food Quality

Their food was outstanding. Hot every-time. Taste was great. I love when you can taste the freshness of your food at the first bite. I also love that the first bite is just as good as the last. No matter what you get you won’t be disappointed. They will go out of their way to make your selection special so speak up if you want to add or take away anything.

Good for Kids?

I saw a couple with their small child. Child was so well behaved. Had it not kids are kids. I could see me taking my children to this restaurant because they would have liked their food, however this is more in my opinion a spot that you go when you have family or friends in town, date night, drinks and dessert with the girls type of night or outing. They also have brunch and this is definitely a dress up and enjoy everything that is brunch.

Affordability?

This is not a super pricey place to enjoy your food. However plan to enjoy the outing. The food selection alone they could have increased the prices on based on quality alone and I wouldn’t have fought it at all! If the saying is you get what you pay for, take the discount that I think they give and tip your waiter or waitress well.

Maybe you’re not ready to be out in person and want to continue eating safely at home, they are available for take out and delivery! I mean I saw that and I don’t need not one judgment as I know I’ll be ordering for sure! I’m so much uncertainty there’s a lot of restaurants who have been failing since things have started opening but not Positano Coast. They get an A+

Dessert Anyone?!

I couldn’t leave without talking about desserts. I could have eaten dessert first and I still would have eaten all of my food. They have an array of desserts. We made the choice of sorbet and vanilla cheesecake. It was decadent.

The sorbet my husband choose was lemon:

So my recommendation is to get to Positano Coast located at 212 Walnut Street; Philadelphia PA 19106. You can look up their menu here!

Thank You Positano Coast and Aversa PR for the invite! I already knew I was in for a treat since I had gone to your other location in August. Positano Coast was on my to dine list and now I can say I’ve eaten there and would go back!
