Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

I love how social media inspires you. We pick up little tricks of the trade of life from others. There’s nothing wrong with that as long as you develop your own personal plan.

Your Own Race

One of the things I learned when I started running even in High School is to learn to tune the crowd out. I was taught that although there will be spectators along the way, every race was personal. We were taught to run each race as if we were the only ones there. Life works the same way. Everyone is clearly around you. You help some along the journey but the end result of what you want out of it comes from what you put into it!

Duplication is Flattering

When you see carbon copies of ideas, thoughts, unless it’s in a person to do it will be like a fad. People can’t sustain longevity in something that’s not authentic. When its real, no matter what is going on, people will revert to what they know. So don’t worry about a copycat because again it’s flattering but it won’t be sustainable. Keep doing what you do. I believe we are all called to do something greater. That calling whatever it may be is inside of you. You will be forever drawn to it even when you try your best to fight it.

Do What’s in Your Heart

So many people fight what they want with what they have to do. Don’t fight it. They can both exist. It’s like working at a job you don’t like and forgetting it will help you with the career you want in the long run. What you don’t like can help finance or get you to where you want to be. Never lose sight of that. This is why finding daily balances helps.

Balance Helps Your Focus

I used to just exist. Doing the bare minimal, going with the flow just to get by was how I used to operate. It’s depleting because without focus how do you crush your goals? When you’re more balance minded, you tend to find ways to work smarter. Setting daily goals is key. Also finding ways to achieve your goals on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. One thing I used to do was set aside time for my goals. If I worked a job during the day, when the kids would go down I put time into my blog and activities surrounding it. Never do more for everyone and everything and not enough for your dreams.

Why are you Last?

Yes I know the way most have been taught to do for others. Doing for others didn’t mean to not do anything for you! If you’re unbalanced in the way you live, you are consistently putting yourself last. Carve out time and space for you. Find a way to put energy back into the things that you want and need. It doesn’t make you a hero to make everyone around you great and leaving yourself depleted.

How to Start a Personal Plan?

Get clear on what you want. How will your plan once it comes into play look? Write down your end goal first and work backwards. What tools will you need? Do you need a mentor to help guide you? Don’t think small. Never think small. Big things come from small packages. So be clear on the goal and be prepared to work. I used to have to network hard. In the network I knew what I needed. Maybe that is an area you need help in.

What is Your Ask?

One thing I learned was what my ask was. When I wanted to start my podcast, I didn’t just ask someone how do you start a podcast. In my network I asked if anyone could direct me to someone who was a top podcaster. If I want to know an answer ask an expert. People were more willing to help me by not simply asking for someone to set up the podcast. So many people want the end product. I wanted to know how to develop it and learn. Learning from the best and wanting a handout are two different things. People respect development more than just simply a give me attitude.

Get Ready to Work

You get what you put in. When I first started this blog I wasn’t consistent. I wasn’t getting consistent results. I had to learn to step my game up. So I did consistent blogs. I do audits of my blog at least 4 times a year with an expert. I dedicate the time. Late nights happen sometimes. So do early mornings. I’m willing to put the money behind it too. I take meetings. I network and I don’t mind constructive criticism. I’ve been told something isn’t working without letting ego get in the way. This is a working plan.

In order to get what you want you need a plan. You need to learn what you want and need. Work hard to get what you want. Also leave room for improvement. Get advice from the best. Don’t duplicate everything you see. Some things aren’t for you and won’t work for you. Listen to your heart and realize it’s okay to not be last. Develop yourself by be willing to be in your own lane.

Lastly gravitate to the things that make sense. For instance I love statement tees. I believe in anything I wear that makes a statement should make a statement for the greater good. This statement tee comes from the Ferris Built self care line. You can use my code ToitimeblogSAVE to save 10%. The reminder to inhale and exhale which means taking the time to relax is simple but necessary.
