Happy Wednesday. I hope your week is going well. With that being said its been a great start to the week. So what has been the highs and lows of the week thus far? Are you setting boundaries

Boundaries Reminder

If you missed Monday’s blog you may have missed the discussion on boundaries. Boundaries are important. I started this week with clear intentions on what I was available to do. It’s important to know what your personal limitations are even when it doesn’t fit the narrative of what others expect of you. It’s okay to say NO. I know many who struggle with delegating that type of information. Don’t be afraid to set boundaries in all areas of life.

Wednesday

Highs of the Week

I have been enamored with the way in which I run this blog. For instance since I started 7 years ago I have been clear in making sure that I don’t just accept any and all collaborations. Being aware of the spaces to be in matters. I am not super concerned with going viral as much as I am interested in the message. If I can go viral and build a meaningful platform no matter what the size that is what I want above all things. Another aspect of the blog is to be aware of my why. What do I want to carve in my space on the world wide web. From the time I started I have kept the faith.

As of late I have been approached by people and companies who have informed me that my alignment has been clear. I hope that daily that is seen. It is not my goal to be someone’s favorite Blogger because of a popularity contest. I would rather that I am able to be seen for how I treat others on and off line.

Lows of the Week

I have had to adjust at home some of my own personal expectations. For instance coming to the realization that I need to stop trying to do it all. The mere fact that I put this high pressure to get it all done all the time is consuming. It consumes my thoughts and more. So I have had to take some steps back. It’s not always easy relinquishing control but it had to be done. I am working through it and if this resonates with you-do the same. There are days when things are going to feel like it’s falling-let it.

Wednesday’s Joy

Here are a few things I have enjoyed this week:

My Friends: I spent time with two of my besties this week. This is a rare thing to happen but its a renewing feeling being able to spend time with those you love.

Me time. Let’s be clear as much as I love media events they aren’t my sole me time. It takes a lot of energy at times to be on for media events. The constant pictures, checking your appearance, etc. and posting in a timely manner is time consuming. This week I enjoyed a simple Starbucks drink in the car with my music playing. Simple but effective me time.

Good Food. I have to admit because I am at a lot of media events they usually come with good food and drinks. I enjoy it all.

Here are a few podcast that I have listened to this week. Listening to podcast is just as soothing as music. It is also a form of self care. Conversations with Toi (the podcast) will be back on Friday. We have a little royal conversation in the works. Thanks to all who subscribe to get alerts.

Media Events-Wednesday Deep Breath

I have been busy with media events. There have been brunches, dinners, and movie premieres. Tonight I have a media event than one on Saturday. After that I will have a break until Tuesday and I am not doing anything else until after Easter tentatively. I am going to enjoy my children who will have a late Spring Break. I have some plans to take them on little dates. Also a lot of late nights with movies etc. If you are looking for ideas for Spring Break for kids or just ideas in general click on the link.

My Easter Tree

Spring also brings a lot of rain so I have some indoor activities that can be enjoyed. Keep in mind that you want to be creative and enjoy making memories.

We will have the review of The Alchemist that is playing now at Quintessence Theatre later today. So be on the lookout and support the arts.

Happy Wednesday! Here’s to a successful end of the week.
