Sunday Preparation for your Week

Often times you may find that your excuses that you have for the week, is due to lack of preparation. We don’t meal prep, figure out clothes, check our calendars for what is ahead. So this week let’s find a way to do better. This is a simple way to attack your week and make it even better than last week. What worked last week? Incorporate it into your schedule this week. What were your weak spots last week? These are the spots that you noticed you weren’t as prepared or on point. Whatever those spots are, make sure you write it down and add it into your week this week.

Self Care for Sunday

Ever hear the phrase a weekend of being content sets the tone for your week?  It does. I believe in self care for everyday. Simple ways of taking time out for yourself. Spending time with friends, enjoying an extra hour in bed, reading your magazines that are piling up, and so many other ways of practicing self care. Starting or ending your Sunday with self care is a great way to reset your mindset. Here are some of the ways that I have been practicing self care take one as an example for you to add:

  • Take a long walk
  • Sit outside and drink a cup of coffee/tea
  • Writing in my journal or gratitude book
  • Setting my goals in my goal book
  • Take a nap
  • Sleep in a little later/go to bed early
  • Enjoy a talk/check-in with a friend
  • Making myself a special dinner
  • Purchasing a new lipstick color

There are a million and one ways to invest in your self care.

Sunday Peace

Now peace is something that we need in our lives daily. So many people are doing all kinds of things to find peace. How can you add peace into your home? This is subjective. For instance I don’t like people popping up without notice. The reason is more than just not liking people. For me is knowing my anxiety levels. I need to prepare for visitors. I also don’t allow people to return who stir up issues in my life. Those who I have had issues that aren’t worked out, I leave them as an outsider. Even if the situation is good, I don’t entertain people in my home who I am not close to. I add flowers in my home every week. It sets the mood and tone for me and the house. We have certain hours especially at night where the kids have their quiet time. This means no more toys, games, etc. Read a book, quietly watch something, or simply just be in a place of calm.

Sunday Music

Music is the way to charging your day. This is why you have to make sure the music you listen to has a purpose. So there are times that I listen to certain music when I am mad. It gets me hype. I have music that I listen to bring in calm. Some music is purely about inspiration. Here is my Sunday Music listing for this week from Spotify called Sunday Soft Pop Hits.

Sunday Scaries on a Bad Day

Now not every Sunday or weekend work in our favor. There are times when the weekend has come and gone and you can’t wait for Monday to get away from the folks in your home. Bad days happen. The best way to conquer a bad day is to remember that bad moments don’t last forever. There are bad times that we all face. Sometimes the moments feel overwhelming.  Take deep breaths as much as you can. When you can’t find solutions, trust that one is on its way. Take care of you while you are figuring it out. Eat well. Keep hydrated. Get some rest.

Sunday

Happy Sunday. I hope that your day is doing all that you need it to do. Take some time to prepare for your week. Find ways to increase your self care today.
