Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

So my husband, Marques, and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. I honestly didn’t think we would be able to get out and celebrate but thanks to a little Instagram stalking, some social distancing guidelines, and some romantic vibes we were able to celebrate our special day.

8 Years and Counting

So with 8 years we have had a lot of highs but also some lows. It’s been important for us to find ways to connect. The lessons we have learned have been the same ones holding us together. We talk about everything even if and when the conversations have been intense. We hope to not be an example to others as “relationship goals.” We believe that every couple should find a way to forge their own paths. 8 years are baby years in comparison to my parents over 25 years and my grandparents over 50 years but we know that we are building a foundation. Now just because everything looks good we know that in the times when things seem to go left field, we always remember the commitment we made to one another and find our way back. Also we make sure that we aren’t holding on just for “the sake of the kids.” We say it often to one another but when the kids leave we want to actually know each other and like one another.

Temp Fail

So one of my favorite PR, Kory, had dined at Caffe Aldo Lamberti and when I saw his photos of the “cigar” bar seating I knew that had to be where we ate. Now before you go there, why would I want to sit at a Cigar Bar? Look at this view:

The cigar bar is under a grapevine that has grapes that are absolutely breathtaking. It’s adjacent to the restaurant. It’s private and it makes you feel as if you’re by yourself. The restaurant is connected but disconnected from everyone giving you such a generous amount of use of a great atmosphere. Now before we could get to the great atmosphere, they enforced temperature checks of their patrons, I failed the first time. They had me walk over to the side to cool down. Mind you I automatically overheat when I’m wearing my mask. I was able to come back ( a few seconds later) and have my temperature rechecked. What I liked about their temperature read is that it’s scanned above you, and completely touch-less. Thanks Cafe Aldo Lamberti for taking your patrons’ health at the highest possible care! By now you know masks are to be worn until seated. Staff will keep their mask on to service you. Seating is social distance as well.

Big Talk and Small Bites

We started with appetizers and our annual anniversary talk. My husband had the Grilled Alaskan Crab Legs with balsamic glaze.

I had the Zucchini Fritti:

Both were amazing. Caffe Aldo Lamberti goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. We also toasted our day to a nice glass of Riesling.

We brought a fan in case one of us was hot

Rain Fall Interruptions?

It wasn’t slated to rain but while we were seated gazing into each other’s eyes and enjoying the fact that we didn’t have to share our food with our children, rain came. It was a light shower that was moving through. However for parents who hadn’t had a formal date night out that was the least of our issues. The grapevine leaves kept us covered and we kept on eating as the sun came back hotter and with more of a vengeance. That little bit of rain didn’t deter us.

Main Dishes and Love Talk

It was time for the main course. For him, the 8oz Prime Filet Mignon served with bacon, jumbo lump crab, gorgonzola, baby spinach, and roasted potatoes:

For me, Sweet Potato Gnocchi with wild mushrooms and an essence of white truffle:

Everything was hot and delicious. We weren’t in the least bit disappointed in our dishes. Our talk was amazing as well. Getting new goals aligned is always important. I love our tradition of asking how we did almost like a report card of sorts. We listen to one another during this time. It’s not always an easy listen but it’s necessary.

Dessert Anyone?

As much as we wanted to have dessert we knew we were going to Tinsel so we declined. However the staff brought us a beautiful spread to share in our anniversary. It was completely unexpected but we loved it!

Caffe Aldo Lamberti I give a high recommendation. It’s an slight upscale and classic but romantic Italian restaurant but they do specialize in fresh fish, seafood, and prime meats. From the looks of their indoor seating (it’s not available right now) it’s visually stunning. Their outdoor seating is amazing. As soon as we pulled up immediate smiles. It was the perfect atmosphere. It’s beautiful.

Thanks to Kory Aversa for the recommendation. I mean I used my social media for personal means and it was the best dinner. I couldn’t have imagined a better way to bring in our 8th!

Caffe Aldo Lamberti is located at 2011 Route 70 West in Cherry Hill New Jersey. It was easy to get there. The time together was amazing! You won’t be disappointed!

Thank you to my husband for starting out my day with 4 dozen roses. The gifts you got me was full of thought and care. I appreciate them and you! Cheers to many more!
