If you are a blogger yourself or an influencer you know about editing and presets. I’ve never used them in almost all of the 6 years that I’ve been blogging.

Edit Please

For me I’ve liked my pictures to stay true to how I’ve snapped them. I never wanted my page to look like other people’s! Under the understanding that editing my pictures would make them unauthentic and I didn’t want that look. I was put onto game this week and I wanted to share.

Nicky Presets

So as a blogger I love collaborating with others. It’s always a win win! Nicky reached out to me to share her own presets and let me tell you she has quite a lot of them that really takes the pictures from blah to amazing. So what is my review of the presets….

Autumn

So Fall is my favorite time of the year! So I didn’t hesitate to allow that to be my first preset! I wanted to see what the Fall preset would look like so I made sure I went to my Fall collection to see what it would do. For instance, here is the original look:

This picture was taken at the Fall Fest that had the world been open I would be preparing to go to yet again this year at Spruce Street Harbor. I’m talking about beer as you see above, ciders, comfort food, cooler weather, shopping, and a day of outdoor fun. I remember going to this particular year and my husband who hates to be outside was not about it. After an argument, I left and went on my own. I was able to enjoy a few hours alone. I looked and up popped my husband and kids!

Nicky Presets really brought in the Fall colors with her editing feature which I have to admit I love! Here is the edited photo:

You see them golden tones? The dewy look of the photo. I like it. I didn’t think I would. I’ve been made a believer. So will I continue to use it? Yes! Maybe not on all photos but on quite a few! With using the preset I made sure not to edit anything further. If you’re wondering how people get their photos to have that look, this is how! Also using Adobe Lightroom with the preset helps too. Nicky present does all of the work for you cutting time! As much as I love editing in general I like to focus on it only for the words and not so much the pictures!

Here’s another edit:

Irish Cream

This edit I have heard bad things about this particular edit not from Nicky Presets but this airy look with African American skin can make out melanin look ashy. No one wants that at all! So here is the original:

You can see my rosy cheeks and red lip! You see my melanin and the only issue with this picture is where are those glasses? I’ve lost them and now this picture has reminded me to make an eye glass appointment. This picture was taken on my way to a play. I love and have always been doing play circuit reviews.

Here is the Irish Cream preset:

It took the shine out of my skin. Which because it was taken in the Fall I’m not mad about it. I don’t feel it gives off an ashy look. I like it. It didn’t change my appearance. It’s subtle! Not bad at all.

So I’ve got more pics to show but I figure now that I have the presets I can show you as I post going forward. If you want to use the same presets and keep in mind there are a LOT of them with Nicky Presets go to her Instagram and get them! You don’t have to be a Blogger or Influencer either. You may want to just upgrade your page and that’s what it’s for!!

Thank you Nicky Presets! This will come in handy as we go deeper into my favorite season and all holidays going forward! This is a game changer!

The premise is to work smarter not harder so here’s to change! I can toast to that!!
