Friday food

Happy Friday. I hope your week is going well. For me my week was good and then is ending on a weird note. However keep in mind, it’s Friday and we have gotten to the traditional end of the week so that’s that. I hope your weekend is full of rest and relaxation. So here is the weekly recap.

People’s Light Hold These Truths

I went to People’s Light to see Hold These Truths. The review is up so take a reading to it. One thing I will say is that the production was done well. In addition to that it was only one actor, Steven Eng. He did a masterful job playing Gordon Hirabayashi. It highlights Gordon’s defiance to not accept a Freeish lifestyle based upon unmerited racism by the American government.

Brunch Goals at Village Whiskey-Friday Prep for Weekend

I had the opportunity to eat at Village Whiskey by Garces. The brunch is a great place if you love comfort food, cocktails, and of course whiskey. You don’t have to be a whiskey fan to enjoy it. Keep that in mind. They have many options available such as amazing burgers, breakfast items and small plates.

Village Whiskey

I had a Veggie burger topped with the most tasty guacamole and red cabbage. In addition I also had the roasted sweet potatoes, and sweet stem cauliflower.

There drinks are so tasty. They have brunch cocktails in addition to their full menu being provided. So start your Friday off right by making your brunch goals ahead of time.

Tree Planting at Riverbend Environmental Educational Center

We had a great time in nature last Saturday. In celebration for Earth Day we went to plant trees. I found that my kids are super knowledgeable on animals as well as Aquaponics. I had a great time letting them play and clearing my head. The kids enjoyed hiking, rolling down the hill, and just being carefree. There are several events coming up that you and your family may be interested in. Read the blog.

Coco Thai Bistro

One of the besties and I went to Coco Thai Bistro. Its located in Narbeth and I had the best time enjoying the vibes, food, and drinks. If you love Thai food, and want a space that is stunning to enjoy a great meal-this is your place. I had the veggie dumplings and Coconut veggie soup. The flavors alone are worth going back. You add the fact that you are surrounded by plants of all kinds.

Coco Thai

The tip of the iceberg was their Pineapple Bubble Tea. It’s hands down, amazing. My honest opinion is to get one while you are there and take another with you. Its that good.

Iron Hill Brewery Friday Review

If you live near any Iron Hill Brewery you know that they make their own beers on site. They are known for having a great selection of beers. In addition they have great food too. I was invited guest to preview the new Spring Menu. I must say their food selection is very diverse. There is something for everyone and the food is really good. So you don’t have to stick to bar food here.

Also they have great cocktails too. My favorite beer is the Lemon Cerveza. It’s a great sour ale and I loved it fully. Iron Hill also has some great cocktails including a dessert cocktail that is made with ice-cream.

Mainline Ladies Night

I had a great time at Mainline’s Ladies Night. From the fashion show, to the food and drinks it was a night to remember. The amount of women who showed up and showed out was a lot. The women came ready to shop, encourage one another, and more. I made quite a few new friends. This is major for me as I still suffer from social anxiety from time to time. The environment was laid back and conducive to making friends and engaging.

Thank you to all of the vendors including Ame Salon and Spa. A special thank you to Mainline Today and Aversa PR.

So this week has had a lot. I also attended a Ladies Night with my friends. It was a great time to dress in our sexy lingerie, have safe space to talk, eat, and drink all kinds of champagnes and wines. I felt so rejuvenated when I left. I slept in the next door obviously. I will be blogging the review of Wilma Theatre’s The Cherry Orchid. They are in the last days of production. It ends on May 1st. The blog will be up by tomorrow morning.

Friday Beer

This weekend I have plans to help my youngest get ready for her first communion. Outside of one event on Saturday afternoon, I will not be doing any media events. So no last minute invites unless its a family invite. I look forward to resting and resetting. So what are your Friday plans? Enjoy them. Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend.
