Vacation Friends Movie Premiere

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. I hope your week was great. I have been all over the place the last couple of days. As we closes the month of August my September is just about booked to capacity. Don’t worry I practice what I preach and have some down time in there too. So what’s been going on let’s recap.

Philadelphia Magazine Influencer Awards

I wasn’t nominated as of yet but I had the time of my life. From the fun, food, and fellowship between all of the influencers in the city. From every niche you can think of was represented here. I was grateful for being in the building and enjoying just being able to dress up and have fun. Sometimes when you are at events you don’t always get to be as present as you would like. The Influencer awards always provides the space to cut up. I must give it to all of the vendors. They did an amazing job.

Movie Fridays-  Vacation Friends 2

I went to Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City and I must say I was impressed. I haven’t been to that hotel since I turned 21. I won over 500 at that casino and used the money for books. College students understand what I mean when I say I thought I had hit the jackpot that night. So going back as a real adult was just as fun. I didn’t gamble this time but I had a ball at the premiere for Vacation Friends 2 that is out today on Hulu. The movie was funny and has a lot of unexpected action too.

Friday recap

Picking up a few months after the end of “Vacation Friends,” this hilarious sequel finds newly married couple Marcus (Lil Rel Howery) and Emily (Yvonne Orji) inviting their uninhibited besties Ron (John Cena) and Kyla (Meredith Hagner), who are also newly married and have a baby, to join them for a vacation when Marcus lands an all-expenses-paid trip to a Caribbean resort. His reason for traveling there in the first place is to meet with the owners of the resort to bid on a construction contract for a hotel they own in Chicago. But when Kyla’s incarcerated father Reese (Steve Buscemi) is released from San Quentin and shows up at the resort unannounced at the worst possible moment, things get out of control, upending Marcus’ best laid plans and turning the vacation friends’ perfect trip into total chaos.

So grab your own friends this weekend and enjoy it. Thank you to Harrah’s Casino and Allied Global Marketing for having me.

Amanda’s 10K Party Celebration

I am a firm believer to celebrate your friends. This week we celebrated Amanda of e as she celebrated reaching 10k on Instagram. She has since surpassed that number but we enjoyed celebrating her milestone. We enjoyed food from Nifty Fiftys, Philadelphia Pretzel, and so much more. In addition it was nice coming together in a low key way to high key celebrate. Plus the drinks were good and the venue was absolutely perfect at City Street Vodka. Amanda keep climbing and doing what you do.

Conversations with Toi Friday Podcast

We are back with Season 9 after the break. I love taking a break and relaxing from having to edit and more. So with that said, our first guest of the season is Liz Peterson. Enjoy the episode.

Liz Peterson is a seer, seeker, spiritual explorer, intuitive energy healer, Reiki Master, spiritual coach, oracle reader, and podcaster who has been a lifelong student of healing, personal growth, and metaphysics. She is the host of the podcast Raise the Vibe with Liz.

Liz had faced the deaths of her grandparents, biological father, and mother and shared her feeling in her bestselling book, “Mom died last night. My shared death experience. A Memoir of Death, grief, and afterlife communication”.

On the podcast we talk about her gifts and how it has helped her heal since her mom’s passing and how she helps others. I want to also give a trigger warning for anyone who has lost a loved one especially a mother.

The Lion King at the Kimmel Cultural Campus

Martorano’s Prime

Also looking for something to do with the family? Take them to the Lion King Musical, Dorney Park, Diggerland, and so much more.

I also attended the premiere of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 and it was hands down a solid movie. We laughed, dined, and had the time of our lives. They made sure that we painted and honestly enjoyed our time. The movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding comes to theatres on Friday September 8, 2023. I plan to see it again when it comes out. So that is it for this week. I look forward to cuddling on the couch with a glass of wine and resting. This weekend is another family filled weekend, some events, and getting organized for Back to School.

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend.
