Ugly Sweater Day

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. What a week? We have 8 day until Christmas and I in my mind all I hear is Destiny’s Child 8 Days of Christmas. This has been a week of very little media events but as we get into the weekend I have an upcoming busy week going into Christmas so let’s talk about it all.

LumiNature

I took the family to the Philadelphia Zoo for LumiNature. It was such a great time. From being outside and it not being too too cold to the light show there were no complaints. We had a great time. I loved how the Zoo did an even better job this year than it did 2 years ago when LumiNature first arrived. So I was grateful. I did do a blog recap which includes some general house keeping rules. For instance, those parents with strollers, there are some stroller rules like stopping mid walk or being mindful of those around you. Even when my children were in strollers I did my best to be mindful that I wasn’t on this Earth by myself. Outside of little things like people doing people like things we had a blast. LumiNature is available until January 9th.

Blogs you May Have missed this Week

We did about 4 blogs this week. As we close out the year, I will have all of the content ready to go for the next couple of weeks. So I am editing and getting ready to update the website. If you are an avid reader you know the site gets an update monthly. I like to keep it fresh. A lot of Content Creators do this. In the end of the year I do my New Year’s message and that will be available before Christmas. I believe in getting goal ready everyday, monthly, and yearly.

1 million views Toitime

1 Million Views

I have always known my stats when it comes to the blog. When I first started 7 years ago it was really so limited. I used to get excited if I had 100 views a month. 7 years later I am at 1.1 million views for the year. I NEVER even imagined that number attached with my blog. A million views seemed so unattainable and not because I wasn’t worthy but because I just never set a goal for views. So when the million views hit I felt excited and scared at the same time. A HUGE thank you to all of you my community of readers. It is because of you that the goal unrealized even came to fruition. Thank you. So we have nothing but to go up. I was excited when I hit 436K last year I was over the moon. So understand knowing me is knowing that I get excited for everything.

Ugly Sweater Day Friday Happy Moment

Today is Ugly Sweater day. If you love them you know that you can get them from anywhere. I have probably too many of them if that is a thing. So with that being said what is your favorite one? Ugly Sweater Day is about having a little fun with the most quirkiest Christmas Sweater that you can find. If you are unsure where to get one from-try my favorite store, Target. Over the years I have rotated many of the sweaters. So I hope if you enjoy them that you have the best one on today.

Flight On Ice

There is a new ice-skating ring that is open in Delco (Delaware County). Flight on Ice is also a Veteran Memorial Rink. Proceeds will benefit the Veterans. As a military brat I love to see this. I also met some amazing Veterans at the Grand Opening on Thursday evening. So what is all entailed at Flight on Ice? There is of course ice-skating. There is an closed hospitality tent. It’s warm and inviting inside. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy cozy vibes and play indoor games.  Bathrooms are outside and are outhouse style.

Flight on Ice

There are also outdoor fire pits that will keep you warm. Flight on Ice will also have family events such as silent disco party where you wear headphones and pick your music channels. At the Grand Opening Santa and his friends were there. There will be other opportunities for Characters to be present during the season as well.

Flight on Ice

There are plenty of food and drink options for everyone’s palate. I would encourage you to use you card. If you don’t have exact change. There is no ATM on the premises. Skates can be rented on the premises as well. For skating season passes and family passes they are available.

The staff as well as the people at the event were more than welcoming. You and your family and friends will love having the option to ice-skate. I live on the border of Philadelphia and Delaware County so I will say its conveient to be able to ice-skate without issues of parking. So enjoy, respect others, and enjoy this new ice-skating rink.

Friday and Weekend Prep

This weekend is the final prep for the holidays for me. After this weekend I will not be out here shopping unless its a gift card to be emailed to someone. I plan to not do my normal wrapping of gifts on Christmas Eve. I have already wrapped and taken my gifts for extended family to their homes. So now I just need to wrap my own children. I bought their items at the beginning of November. This helped me to not have to depend on too much mailing. We got our family Christmas photo done and sent out. Family and friends should be receiving that in the next couple of days. I will reveal that photo as my Christmas message for this year. I hope you have an amazing weekend. We will be back with a blog on Sunday and all of next week in preparation for Christmas. Find an activity you love that feeds your soul.
