Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Friday! Cheers to the weekend! You have made it! So with that being said this week has been super fun and rewarding in so many ways! I can’t wait to share some sponsored content very soon. I know I share all the time but I’m really excited about the next couple of weeks. It’s all about living and walking in intention. So here’s how the week went down.

Catching Up Friday Edition

I had the opportunity to meet up with one of my beasties. It’s crazy how much I really miss them all. By now I would have surely taken a flight to spend time with them. However my friend Kyla and I had a great time meeting up for dinner. We have only seen each other now twice in one year. Mind you we used to meet up once a month when life was open! It’s crazy how much the pandemic year is coming around.

Pin it for later

Terrain Cafe

We enjoyed some fun at Terrain Cafe. Terrain Cafe all all over to be honest. We elected to go to the one in Glen Mills. I was a newbie but I will most definitely go back. Here are my highlights:

  • Beautiful location
  • Safety is paramount
  • Food is great
  • Customer service is A1
  • Aesthetically gorgeous
  • Food for all palettes including my vegan treats

Pay no attention to Kyla the bread bandit. She didn’t realize the bread would be this big but it’s served in this adorable pot. Also just being able to talk, laugh, and enjoy each other’s presence was just purely beautiful! A highlight is they give you a mask bag so you don’t have to leave it on the table or purse. It’s BYOB and only confirmed my desire to be a plant mom is real. I have plans to go back to visit their nursery. It was closed by the time we left!

New Hair, Who is Dis?

I have taken my protective style out and unleashed my natural curls. I’ve been natural now for 4 year now! It wasn’t easy! I had to learn my hair pattern. There are many options I can do like I can twist and curl my hair in a matter of minutes now. I had my first relaxer as a 5 year old and to be honest it might have been 4. When I became a mom I wanted to know what my actual hair is capable of so I could encourage my own daughters. My hair was cut during my big chop to about 2 inches. My hair goes to my breast bone now! Shrinkage is real! My hair is the healthiest it’s ever been!

Meetings

Another week means a week of meetings. I’ve had some of the most amazing brand meetings. For my wine drinkers I will be bringing new content with 2 women owned and women led wine makers. I can’t wait for you to try them. Tomorrow on Saturday I’ll be bringing you a woman owned Iced Coffee company. I mean alcohol and coffee belong together. If you’re not into alcohol, I posted this week with some amazing tea with Loose Leaf Market. Great tasting tea to fit any health initiative. Also everyone is talking about Clubhouse. It’s a great way to network! I have 6 invites. Android will be getting access but for now it’s for iPhone users! If you need an invite email me at toitimeblog@gmail.com

I also encourage you to use Lunchclub as a one on one way to network. Here is my invitation for that!

Coming to America 2 Out Today/Friday

I was able to see an advanced copy of it and it’s absolutely amazing! It’s a must watch. I loved how it continued from the first one which came out 33 years ago. Who’s feeling old? Not me! Make sure you watch it on Amazon Prime! It’s every bit of nostalgia that we needed!

New Podcast Episode

Trigger warning !

This week I answer how to mend a rift with a friend! I’ve talked about this before about my best friend and I’s terrible rift. I wasn’t even in her wedding. I don’t think I have the capacity to work through such a tear now. Some people are only meant to be temporary. We did the work! We also talk about can parents be considered “bad” parents! Check out the podcast in the link! Also the podcast is available on ALL podcast platforms!

For podcasters looking to monetize, go to Podgo and in the section of how you heard about Podgo type in: Conversations with Toi! You will be linked with advertisers that fit your audience! It’s simple and easy!

Weekend Plans

I have plans to finish the rest of the month’s content. I have some deadlines so that’s the goal is to meet them. For my personal relaxation I plan to catch up on movies and take one day to not do anything. I see next week in Philly there is a warm up. I’m looking forward to it. I look forward to enjoying a glass of wine too!

I hope you have an amazing weekend! Stay safe!
