Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

We shouldn’t have to wait for Women’s History month to make a stand for women! Women do so much that we should be able to make sure that we protect them at all cost! We also need to find ways to support them.

Respect Them

One way that we support the women in our lives and beyond is to respect them. We can’t support them when we find ways to use derogatory names towards them. It’s uncalled for. You might be wondering why this would be a Sunday message, let me help you!

Mom Issues

We all for the most part have come from a woman. With that being said, not all women who decide one way or another to mother are good ones. Some people don’t respect women because they have been abused by their own mothers. I talk about that in this past Friday’s podcast. It wasn’t about airing out tea which I knew people would assume. The depth that your relationship is with your mom could be the start in how you take a stand with or against women. I’ve talked about this very topic in the toxic mothers blog.

Hinderances Surrounding Women

I know by now we aren’t shocked that women statistically are disproportionate against men? This shouldn’t be a shock. Just like during this pandemic those numbers increased in many ways! Read a very compelling article by NPR! This has been happening for years. I remember when I had my own children I with a college degree had to make the very difficult decision to put my career on hold. My children are at the age and stage that it’s no longer an issue. I also can do what I do not just because of the pandemic from any where in the world!

Lack of Female Relationships

I remember in Junior High School how many other young ladies said how difficult it was for them to be around other young women. That let me know that the time we should have been learning more about ourselves and forging amazing relationships we were already learning how to separate ourselves from one another! It’s the reason I try my best to support my daughters to look at female led relationships in a positive light. It starts with having a great relationship with yourself!

Competition or Collaboration

It’s been easier these days to hear people push collaborative efforts over competition. However we all and I mean ALL can eat! This notion of hurrying to obtain anything before another woman gets hers makes no sense. If I get invited to the table I make sure that I can drop another woman’s name. Someone did it for me! It’s only right to do the same!

Uplifting Women

When you see a woman looking good, doing good, trying her best, salute her! It’s takes nothing and I mean nothing from you. I promise you saying congratulations, good job, you’re so bomb, etc will still allow you to breathe. If a woman has a business even if you’re not able to sow financial seeds into her business, share her business. It’s free99 to do so especially in this social media driven life. Does anyone remember the times when you had to hit the pavement? You didn’t have the world at your hands! Uplift that woman you come in contact with!

Protect Women At All Costs

I remember back in my dating and even some of my married life when a man could ask for your number and you could inform that man of your status and he would push maybe once but back off. Not any more. The tragedies that women are being subjected to is crazy. Women are losing their lives because is the fragility of SOME men. I need more men to take a stand. Don’t stand and watch your friend gaslight a woman. Definitely do not allow him to abuse her either!

Let’s rally around women beyond this month! Ladies let’s do some inner work so we can treat other women right! Let’s help a woman fix her crown! I’m not saying some women aren’t out here doing the most because that’s a lie. As much as I want us to do better in the name of sisterhood there are some women we aren’t going to like. We may have a falling out. However take the chance in eliminating it as much as you can!

Sunday let’s use this time to reflect and heal those hurt areas! Sending love your way!
