What a weekend right? Well it’s now time to get it back together right?! Back to work and school we go! We only have about a month left of the year. Whew! Talk about tying flying! Happy Monday!

Revamping: Monday Switch

I sit today thinking of how I’m going to proceed. After the weekend there’s so much more on the table that needs to be done in all aspects not just politics FYI! Thinking about the holidays, what my goals will look like come January and 2021 or simply what the rest of this year will look like is challenging. I think constantly about what could happen and try to focus on what is happening. I would be lying if I said it was easy. It’s not. I have seen an uptick of stress lately. Oh and read Sunday’s Blog on moving forward with politics!

So here’s a list of things I’m doing to get me through the year!

Make a weekly Monday check-in

Seeing the month or year in advance especially the way 2020 dealt its hand its important to focus on short terms goals. I look at my to do list for the week. I focus on small ways to energize like setting a workout schedule on Sundays, seeing what is due for the week and tackling it, or finding ways to connect with those around me behind social media. These are small check-ins that can make the month or year seem smaller.

Increase Physical Activity on Monday

I know I haven’t always been on go as much as I need to be when it comes to working out. I’ve been more concerned with maintaining than pushing harder. However with as much sitting or increase in alcohol or food, working out is important. There’s so much free workouts on YouTube you can participate in. I do use my exercise bike as well as my stepper. My stepper has been a life saver. I got it from Target and it was under $30. There’s some at Five Below too in case $30 is too high! No judgement just get moving. Thanksgiving is around the corner is it just me or is all of that good food on your brain like me?!

Increase Your Reading

When was the last time you sat with a good book? Maybe just listening to an audio book? There’s so much joy in slowing down these days. I find it rewarding to take that little bit of time to simply listen. The simply joys of relaxing, is necessary. I suggest a book or even a magazine. This simple gesture does wonders. Also you know listening to podcast too! If I might add mine is all about self care. Give a listen!

Get Some Rest

Do you know the countless amount of hours you spend scrolling at night? It’s a lot! Than have the audacity to wake up and say how tired you are! We are a special kind of special aren’t we? Eliminate the scrolling at night. Most folks ain’t getting paid to be online. Take a break! Even though I do get paid I have to tell myself as much time as I am on there come off when you don’t! It’s a waste of energy. So much can be done in our home, with our children, and in all other areas than to spend all of our time online. Rest! Sleep! Take a nap! I promise you life will still be there waiting on you! Reset through rest!

Spiritual Connection

This is across the board! It doesn’t matter to me what you believe in, believe in something. Walk in those beliefs and exercise yourself in it. It matter. One thing about this pandemic is we have all learned that although it’s a good thing to come together, when you can’t always remember that you have to make the effort to stay connected! It’s your personal job to do so!

Old School Ways with New School Flare

When you think about how the world is moving it takes a little old school vibes with new school flare. We need a little of both to push through. Trust me you got this! You feel overwhelmed like the rest of the world but I find new ways of taking bigger tasks into smaller ones always seem to help. You can definitely and will definitely accomplish all of the things. Setbacks yes, but you got this! Drawbacks yes, but you got this! You got this! Take on today with the weight on your heart and write it out! Write the vision, make it plain! Give to yourself grace and make it happen! I believe in you and me. We got This! Have an amazing day and week!
