Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Topgolf needs to go to the top of your list of things to do. Whether it’s for date night, first date, family outings, or even hanging out with friends. From the golfing to the food and drinks I had the most amazing time. It’s an all-year-round activity and let me break down my experience, pro tips, and more.

Before you go to Topgolf

It is best to put in your reservation before you go. Walk-ins are acceptable but during high times you could run the risk of a bay not being available. You will need to pay for a bay. A bay is where you will be seating, dining, and golfing. They hold about 6 people per bay. If you need more than that you must get more than one bay to accommodate. When you put the number of people in the reservation online or in the app will guide you.

Also depending on the day and time that you want to go to Topgolf there could be deals like 50% of Mondays and Tuesdays at King of Prussia. I highly recommend if you want a chance to have less people on the premises, go on a Monday or Tuesday. The closer you get to the weekends not only will the price go up, but there could be more people or parties. What I will say is even if the weekends are busy keep in mind that once in your bay it all becomes a personable experience regardless. Also take some time to familiarize yourself with the menu too. There are alcoholic and non-alcoholic options and food including gluten free too.

Personable Experience

I was invited by Visit Valley Forge and Topgolf but once on the premises the staff was hands down the best. Even before I identified who I was the hospitality was on point. I love that. If you are familiar with how I do reviews, they start as soon as I get there. From the first hello to the last goodbye, I am looking around and taking it all in. I watch how staff treats all that are on the premise. I want to have a general ideal of how they manage themselves and guest. Topgolf definitely impressed me.

Skill Levels at Topgolf

The only golf that I have ever done is mini golf. So, this was the first time I had ever done anything close to regular golf. Another thing, when I was seeing people on Topgolf that was falling off the ledge and more keep in mind now that I have gone, I can attest that it must be staged. Here’s why, there is a red line that you need to stand behind if you are not actively golfing. If someone goes beyond the yellow line that is marked it was intentional or was too intoxicated. Do not let what you see on social media be the driving force for how you think it’s going to be.

Follow the instructions that are clearly marked. There is staff around if you have questions or concerns. Our server, John was delightful in every way. We wanted for nothing. Anytime our waters got low he was on it. There was one point where I had questions regarding the game, and he answered it. Also, there are many games that you can play that also go clearly distinct skill levels described.

Food Options at Topgolf

There are many options for food and drinks including desserts. I had eaten before I went because my play time was 7pm. There was no way I could wait that late to eat. However, my husband had the lemon pepper wings while I had the fries. We both had drinks. I had the Sunset Margarita which had Patron Silver, St-Germain Elderberry liqueur, blood orange, orange juice, and lime juice with a Tajin rim that is optional if you prefer your drink to be less spicy.

My husband had the Spiked Lemonade made with Tito’s Vodka, citrus sour, strawberry puree, and ginger beer. Both were well made and balanced. I also added an Angry Orchard Crisp Apple to my order. They have it all from handhelds, pizzas and more. Your play time is 2 hours. If after that time you want to continue hanging out, they have at least 2 additional bars with large televisions.

Self-Care Moments at Topgolf

The King of Prussia location is clean, beautifully aesthetic, professionally managed, organized, and provided me and my husband the time of our lives. I will go back. In addition, even though I went with my husband, I would go alone too. The mental health moments I had was amazing. Hitting the ball allowed me to escape and think. So, although a very untraditional method but try it. I was shocked at how well I had done. I can see why traditionally men love golfing. Thank you to Topgolf and Visit Valley Forge. There are plenty of things to do in Montgomery County. Take a ride and enjoy some of the best in food, dining, and activities.

It’s a great place for parties and company outings!
