Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

If you have ever been to Concourse Dance Bar you know how much fun it is. Different rooms giving you all the feels. Can I say I’ve actually planned a party there about 2 years ago but didn’t go! Yup! One of my kids got sick and it was for work. So going to Concourse Dance Bar yesterday was a full on treat.

One Price…All Philly

Concourse has turned itself into a full on restaurant. It’s a 3 course small plate menu with all things Philly! So for one price of $35 you will get your snacks as you progress through times tickets. Each room will give you a different experience with different tastings and a drink! The drinks alone are strong so for each drink price you’re really getting a steal! Oh and the experiences…add to the package too..

Safety Protocols

Mask of course are super important and necessary. I know I say that often but it’s true. This isn’t one of those times when you can choose your individual rights over the rules of the establishment. Keeping everyone safe is key. Masks must be worn at all times except when seated for drinks and food. If you even get up to take a pic, bring your mask! The employees of Concourse Dance Bar is consistently wiping down everything. In each room I see them wiping at least 3-4 times and I was barely in each room for an hour. I was impressed as I had my own wipes and spray hand sanitizer in my purse! I take these items with me so I can feel comfortable as I ease into small events. Also there is a limit of 4 people max in each party! Tickets are timed to move everyone through. Even with it being a media event they didn’t cut us any slack. I appreciated every bit of it. There is no socialization between tables.

You’re given wristbands so that the servers can take the tickets as they serve you

Mezzanine Room

This is your first room. This is where you get to see art come to life. All tables are spread 6 feet apart. Some looked like they were more than that to be honest. It’s your welcome room. As you enter the building, your ID is checked so don’t forget it! Your reservation is checked and you get to be told what to expect and the rules of the night! As soon as you and your party is seated, you are served. Your first course is of course soft pretzels. I mean duh all of the small snacks are Philly themed. You use the QR code to determine drinks and someone will serve you. The waiter and waitress is fully aware of who is in the room and when. Service was fast and smooth.

Fishtown Punch

My first drink of the night was the Fishtown Punch. It was good. I can’t say enough, the drinks are strong and well worth it. Nothing was watered down at all!

The Fishtown Punch is made with Bacardi Black, Christian Bros Brandy, Peach Brandy, and lemon. It’s good!

Fire and Ice

As you move to the next two rooms, it’s going to blow your mind. Although one big space there’s a lot of greatness going on. The first stop is the Ice Room.

Ice Ice Baby

So the last time I was in an ice room it was in Miami! I had a blast. I said back then how it was be so cool to have one in Philly. Someone must have been spying on my conversations (at least in my head) because here we are! Philly has its own ice room. Sculpture Peter Slavin outdid himself on this Philly inspired room. It might be one of the highlights of my night!

You can “borrow” one of the big coats. I elected not to. It’s cold though make no mistake but I also had on a sweater and I didn’t stay longer than I could stand it! I had the best time. Like smiling until my mouth hurts and all type of fun! The cold didn’t matter at all!

And before y’all start no I’m not pregnant it’s the way the sweater is mushed

I loved the mirror and ballon neon room. Walk to wall Mirrors allowed for the most amazing fun. I felt like the biggest kids. Kicking balloons and loving the lights! You will love it too.

Oh and I need you to go to my Instagram to see Dragons Blood drink pop! I’m serious! It’s the real deal. Here it is unpopped and popped:

And of course they had cheesesteaks. It couldn’t be Philly without it!

Laser Lights and Socially Distanced Dance Off?!

Yes and yes! There are squares marked off for you to dance if you should want to. It doesn’t take a way from the fun. It’s designed to keep you safe! I definitely had fun dancing! It felt weird. I’m naturally a home body so even before COVID-19 I wasn’t running to clubs or bars like that. This is easy a way to get around going to a bar like feeling and enjoy this restaurant and its experience.

This last room came with another drink. I got the Trolley Car! Made with Gin, Razzmatazz, Blue Curaçao, Cranberry Juice and Sour.

All in all I had a great night. Service was great. The Philly foods were good too! No issues and I felt safe.

Oh and for that last night of course Tastycakes..I had the peanut butter Tasty Cake Kandy Kakes in this 90s inspired box!

So as you can see…this 15,000 square feet of fun is waiting safely for you. The slides and ball pits are closed for obvious reasons but the fun continues! Grab your tickets and have a blast! Concourse Dance Bar (now a restaurant) is located at 1635 Market Street in the rear! You can also make a reservation on Resy! They are open from Thursday until Saturday from 5-11pm. Seating is only at 25%. No more than 35 people will be allowed during any one hour time!

Thank you Concourse Dance Bar and Aversa PR for the invite!
