Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. What a week it has been. Started with some down time but ended with an explosive time at Cirque du Soleil Bazaar. So, what all went down? How has the adjustment to Fall been? What is on the horizon in the coming days.

Fall Adjustment

It is no secret that Fall is tied with Summer as my favorite season. It’s something about the cool air, boots, boot socks, s’mores, pumpkins, and the colors of the season that excite me. So thus far with the change over I have been fine but seeing some things pop up. For instance, I haven’t decorated yet. I made a call to my doctor because something that I love to do I wasn’t finding myself interested in. So, we planned to prepare as the Fall months get colder and darker my seasonal depression sparks. It is important not to wait until you are full blown into it to make a change.

Now that I have a plan, I will have my decoration done before the weekend ends. Now how? Looks like a few late nights ahead but I love coming into my home with the smell of fall and the look of Fall. The weather has been so up and down that my house has a few sick folks in it. My husband and younger kids have been in cold city. So, we kept them home and they are on the mend. This serves as a reminder to increase heavy hand washing and disinfect shared spaces a little more than normal. Let’s keep your loved ones healthy and happy this season.

Bounce The City

It is time to get moving and having a little fun. Bounce the City is coming to King of Prussia. I like to describe this as the bounce house of all bounce houses. It is larger than life and fun for the entire family. Parents and adults can get in on the action too. If I am being honest, it’s a wonderful way to increase some activity and use the day that you go as your gym. However, unlike your typical bounce house this one has many areas. There’s Headphones and Disco dome that allows patrons the ability to transform themselves into the hottest night club where you can choose your own beat and jump around.

There is also Balls in the Mall which is going to be a ball pit to epic proportions. There is Sports Slam that will allow you to throw, kick, and run while getting into the fun. You can even race one another and make it a challenge. So, it all goes down starting tomorrow, Saturday September 30th until October 22nd. Tickets are on sale now and you can save 15% by using my personal code TOITIME15 which is case sensitive. So, jump into action this weekend.

Friday Conversations with Toi Podcast

The podcast is back with another episode where we talk about the looting that occurred in Philadelphia the other night. What are the ramifications for this and the businesses that were damaged? In addition, seasonal depression is on the rise as the months get a little colder. So, we talk about the things that I have done to combat it and what I am working towards to fix it. We do a little rapid fire on a few topics happening on TikTok.

Also have you listened to Diddy or Love whatever his name he calls himself these days new album. If you love R&B, you will love this album. I haven’t had to skip not one song.

Cirque du Soleil Bazaar

Come and see the tricks and flips of this amazing show in real life. We outside and doing it well. I attended the media day preview, and it was a lot of fun. There are a few things that I loved about the show. What should you be prepared for the show:

  • Beer garden is on the premises and preferred method of payment is card
  • There’s options for food in beer garden and main tent
  • Parking is free
  • Bag check is strictly enforced
  • Arrive early

The show was mesmerizing. All seats are great, but I highly encourage you to sit in the first five rows. Those rows have prime sight. In addition, a few housekeeping rules, you can of course enjoy your food and drinks while you watch the show. Be courteous to those around you. Turn your light on your phone on low when recording. If you are recording or taking pictures no flash photography is allowed to keep the entertainers safe. Arrive early to give yourself time to go to the bathroom, get concessions, and take pictures. Thank you to the staff at Cirque du Soleil Bazaar and Bryan Buttler Media Relations for having me. Tickets are on sale now.
