Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

This is my review of my stay at Sofitel Philadelphia. It is expressively of my own thoughts and are separate from Sofitel Philadelphia.

This past weekend what I was told was going to be staycation at another hotel, ended up being a staycation worthy of my 40th birthday. The amount of care that was taken from check-in to check-out was nothing less than stellar. Also for those who are like me a germaphobe everything was top notch and clean using All Safe system to disinfect at the highest levels. They have an excellent hands free temperature check system too. I felt safe.

Service Reimagined

If you never stayed at the Sofitel or been to one of their events, you are truly missing out. The care that they have when it comes to not just servicing you but giving you an experience is above anything you will ever see. From valet, check-in to check-out there whole point is to make sure that you have above excellent care. They want to make sure that once you leave you felt welcomed. They definitely did that for us. After getting myself together I was told that our room had been upgraded.

They also had some amazing treats waiting for me in the room in celebration of my birthday as well. Check in was seamless and you were greeted with a smile. If you know how I do reviews you know I don’t like to let anyone know I am a blogger because I want to see what people do before they think I may potentially write about them. Sofitel has always been consistent in how they treat patrons.

Luxury Suite

The upgrade was absolutely beautiful. Although originally if “you know what” hadn’t occurred I would have been on an island, it was nice to know that my getaway felt really away. Check-in day was a bit rainy and gloomy. Our room still felt like a vacation. It didn’t matter what was going on the outside, inside of our room was absolutely stunning. The Living Room was spacious with its own television. The mini bar well stocked and it was super welcoming. The bathroom was beautiful as well. It had a shower and a separated tub. I didn’t use the tub, I rarely do when I travel but at least knowing that I could was great. It had everything you could need as far as toiletries. I didn’t have to call down for anything that I may have missed at home. Sofitel thinks ahead for you.

Bedroom

The room was spacious. There was plenty of room to store your items. It also had the best feather top and duvet sleep system. We had gone to dinner before calling it a night and let me tell you I asked for rest and peace this birthday. I got it in abundance at Sofitel. The bed itself had me sleeping like a pampered princess. I mean every word of it. I was super impressed with that bed. At home we have a very beautiful King bed and an amazing pillow top but none like Sofitel had. I was willing to purchase it to take home it was that good. I have NEVER sleep that well in a hotel before. I’ve had great sleep and happy to just be away, but Sofitel took my sleep to another place.

Let me put this into perspective. My kids when I am home gets me up before 7am. We woke up at 6am thinking it was time to check out that’s how much rest we had gotten. Don’t worry we went back to sleep after we figured out. I had not gotten that exclusive rest in a long time and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Final Observation

I would give Sofitel a 10 out of 10. We didn’t get a chance to eat anything outside of the treats they left but rest assured that they do have their restaurant open. It has limited seating as of right now. I imagine once the limits are lifted come Memorial Day weekend that it will change. There are plenty of hand sanitization stations all through the hotels and especially at the elevators. They practice social distancing. Everyone cooperated with the ask of social distancing while in the elevator as well. Everything was clean all throughout the premise.

Staycation Goals

If your looking for a staycation if you’re in Philadelphia Sofitel should be your number one spot. Also treat yourself and get the suite. Its amazing. Not to mention Sofitel is located in the heart of the city where so much happens. There are plenty of amazing restaurants near that you don’t even have to Uber anywhere. We dined at Harper’s Garden. To see our dinner for the night, go to my Instagram. I plan to go to Sofitel by myself in the near future. My hope is to do at least 2 more staycations before the end of the year.

I thank my husband for an amazing Birthday Weekend. Thank you Sofitel and Aversa PR for upgrading us and treating me like a Queen. If you want to Live the French Way, make Sofitel your only choice! It’s the number one choice for service, care, and professionalism.

If you remember when in 2019 we did the Diner En Blanc with Sofitel, I will probably never do it without doing it the Sofitel Way. Having transportation provided, food, etc. It’s a night of excellence that I will never forget. To read up on my annual birthday blog, go here.
