The Landing Kitchen

If you live in or near the Philadelphia area, you should add The Landing Kitchen as your go to spot for coffee, cocktails, and food. This spot combined all of the elements that bring me to joy: outside and inside eatery, dog friendly, coffee, cocktails, and great food. This was my go to for Mother’s Day this weekend and was recommended by fellow Influencer, Imani of Xoimaniindigo-go check her out.

The Vibes at the Landing Kitchen

It is a visually stunning location. Between the ability to eat inside as well as outside there is a lot to take in. It has space to plug your laptop and work. They have their own wifi too. In addition its open and you can people watch while you eat and drink. There are many people who are walking the trail or simply playing some of the games like cornhall and much more. If you want a great coffee they have a good variety as well as crafted cocktails.

On Mother’s Day I knew I wanted to go to a coffee shop. I placed a call on my Instagram stories to get suggestions on where to go. I wanted to go somewhere I hadn’t been before. So many people gave a lot of options sent my way. As soon as I thought I made leeway I went onto TikTok and saw Imani’s post. I knew that was the spot for me. It gave me peace, ignited me time bank, and made me feel amazing to get out and enjoy the day.

Cocktails and Curated Drinks

I love a great tasting cocktail. So when I saw that they had wine and other drinks it was a no brainer. I had the Plum’s Cup which is a cocktail in a can by Canary Cocktails. This was a mix of Bourbon Canary, Aperitif #1, Plum and Lemon Cordial Bubbles. As I sat and drank this cocktail a couple near me got up to ask me was this cocktail worth getting. I always ask a question to answer it. I saw she was struggling with a cocktail and wanted to know what the issue was with hers. She stated that she thought the cocktail would be stronger. I informed her that sometimes with cocktail it matters who makes it. With the Canary Cocktail it was already ready to drink and delicious.

In addition, I had a Frosé. They are wonderful frozen concoctions of wine however if not done well it will taste extremely watered down. I can report that wasn’t the case at The Landing Kitchen. The drink had me impressed.

Food at The Landing Kitchen

In case you were there this past Sunday the service was extremely slow. I saw patrons place orders, wait an hour, and then ask for a refund. There was a sign as you came in due to it being Mother’s Day and graduation weekend that patience was needed in order to service everyone. I personally didn’t mind. I originally wanted the Avocado toast but they ran out. The complaints that I heard were valid. If they hadn’t had the sign or there wasn’t so many people present I would say that the patron was at fault. However this is the number one reason I usually do not go out on Mother’s Day because that should always be expected.

I had time to burn. The purpose of my being there was to get coffee, cocktails, and food and in that order. I was okay with my service. My drinks were made right away. I sat down, got my number for my food, and within the hour I was served. While waiting I called my mom and grandma, took in the scenes and did a word puzzle. I ordered the Maitake Mushroom Po’ Boy sandwich. Everyone isn’t vegan or plant based but this sandwich was hands down delicious. The only issue I had was being too full to eat a second one but desiring another one.

Recommendations at The Landing Kitchen

I am going back and soon. It’s not often that I say that but I mean it. The place was great for kids. There were a lot of kids and dogs. So if you aren’t fond of dogs this may not be the spot for you. Again there’s indoor, outdoor, and partially covered outdoor seating. There’s no reservations. You simply come, order and sit down and enjoy. I would recommend this spot for a date night especially a first date night, family outing, girls casual get together, and more. On Friday and Saturday night they are open until 10pm. Keep in mind the kitchen closes one hour to close.

Thank you to the staff at The Landing Kitchen for making my Mother’s Day amazing.
