Cork and Candles Philadelphia

You should know by now how many times I have been to Cork and Candles and how much I love it. They have a new location in Center City Philadelphia. They both are visually stunning offering you the ability to make your own candles and scents with food options to have as well as BYOB. However, in addition, don’t for their candle of the month. So, what are the highlights of Cork and Candles in Center City Philadelphia?

Before you go to Cork and Candles

With the location being in Center City you are going to want to add some time to find parking. There is parking on Walnut Street, but you are going to need to get there at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Whether you are making a scented candle or the candle of the month it is highly suggested that you make a reservation especially as we get to the holiday months. It will get more crowded as people do experiences instead of or in conjunction of gifts. Also, it is BYOB they do provide cups and plenty of water. There is also an option to enjoy food and bites like charcuterie boards.

Candle of the Month

For this month there is an option to do a fall or Halloween focused candle. Both are equally nice to do. I loved how Cork and Candles made sure to have so many options for our masterpiece. In addition, we were still able to craft our scents the way that we wanted and that made for an even more of aindividualized experience. This experience can be tailored made for you and another person or even for a group. If it is for a group, you will need to fill out a form to get information on when you are desiring it and more.

Aesthetics inside of Cork and Candles

I was really surprised in how big it is when you walk in. As soon as you hit the door you can see the warm and welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed too how bright it is in there too. If you love candles for self-care or just because you love to burn them this is your must go spot. Why go to Cork and Candles instead of opting for a personal home kit. They have done all of the work to calculate what you need and the amount of what you need to keep the candles from causing a fire. During our Candle of the month, we had to use the calculator to weigh the vessel, wax, and scent. The wick and everything that goes into your candles is an actual science.

Melissa our Chandler

Apart of the experience whether you do this alone or with a group is your Chandler. The reason is simple. The vibes from the time you enter and until you leave matter. For me being creative and being in an atmosphere that is conducive for relaxation is key for me. This is a great self-care activity. Melissa was hands down amazing to me and my girl, Elle. She was kind, patient, informative, and just an all-around amazing woman. I was 10 minutes late due to my Uber and she was kind to me from the phone call to the seating and beyond.

Cork and Candles Philadelphia Review

It is just as spacious as the one in King of Prussia. King of Prussia has free parking available in the area and the Philadelphia store you may have to find it street side or nearby garage. However, do not let the parking get in the way. It was easy to find and I was more mad at myself for not driving. The atmosphere is the same as it being welcoming and a place to have a great time. Although reservations are recommended if you were in the area and wanted to stop in provided, they weren’t swamped they would take you. From the scents that are organized for you, there are so many candles to make that you will not make the same candle twice. They also rotate their vessels. The vessels that I got these last two times are different than the ones I got when I came in my first 3 times. I got to see a sneak peek at their holiday candle, and it’s a snowy beautiful one.

I would encourage to book now for the holidays. In general, the time for all holiday bookings should be now. Instead of gifting things, gift the experience. They have gift cards and more or choose to make someone a beautiful candle too. For me although I have so many candles at home, I never get tired of them. They change with the mood and seasons. I was ablet o meet the entire team at Cork and Candles. I usually see the father and son separately. Thank you to Cork and Candles for having me and Elle. Trust me we will be back soon.
