Kari Skin and Self Care

Kari Skin provides the best in skin care and other self care needs. I was able to enjoy a full minute customized facial and here are my takeaways. Taking time to indulge in a facial is one of the most notable forms of self care. I am not new to quality facials but there are many way in which Kari Skin sets themselves apart. Not only in making sure you are comfortable, accessing your needs, but also making sure that the highest level of care is taking during and after your procedure.

The Essence of Self Care

Self care comes in so many forms. It’s up to you as the individual to decide what form of self care works best for you. Often times even if we know that we need self care we aren’t always as inclined to keep up with it. Falling off is easy to do. From life happening, responsibilities, and more we tend to place ourselves last. When I was getting my facial done it took me some extra moments to simply relax and enjoy the moment. That had nothing to do with my esthetician at all. If you struggle with allowing yourself to settle in, I can affirm that you aren’t the only one. Here are a few things you should do when struggling with consistent self care:

• Remind yourself that you are worthy of self care
• Turn off your phone or eliminate distractions
• Give your thoughts an extra 10 minutes and then wind down with thoughts of what you want to expect in the moment

Once I followed my own above advice, I deeply allowed my body to enjoy the facial. At Kari Skin there is no one size fits all. You choose the time for the facial such as 45, 60, and 90 minutes and your skin is assessed. Once your skin is assessed your esthetician of choice will make sure they give you what your skin needs versus a set package. I loved this concept. You aren’t paying for microdermabrasion over another technique. You are simply receiving what you need and that is going to be a better fit for the health of your skin in general. Kimberly sat with me after making sure I was comfortable to go over any and all skin care related needs before we started.

She was calm and amazing to open to. After which she looked at my skin under a light. She never me feel insecure about the process. We talked about what she saw, what a treatment plan would look like before she started. During the facial I was in the best hands and that was known from the first touch. Everything was explained in detail and comfort levels was taken into consideration.

What to Expect during your Facial

Like with all facials you will be asked if you would like some water and shown to the bathroom. Trust me once the process starts you want to be able to enjoy your time. Next you are given a spa towel. It’s a towel that wraps around you to make you comfortable. It’s soft and honestly I need to invest in one at home too. Once you are ready to go, Kimberly knocks on the door where she starts the process. Kari Skin has some of the best products and tools. For instance I have had many microdermabrasion facials done in the past. However the Microcurrent tool was something that was new to me.

I want to describe it as a wand that allows your skin to be lifted and firm. There are several settings. Kimberly put it on the lowests one. I realized after I left that I actually own the same tool at home but never used it. It felt like a wave of energy but it doesn’t hurt at all. Again Kimberly made sure to seek out how it made me feel several times. The waves feel like tiny little pricks but with absolutely no pain. It is in my personal opinion a great addition to my facial and I definitely want to continue getting it done.

Anyone know anything about Center City knows how rare that is to have. On street parking or parking garages can set you back. I was delighted to be able to pull into a spot, get my services without parking issues to keep in mind. Kari Skin has beauty experts in all fields who have over 10 or more years in their field including Medical Estheticians. With an array of staff you are sure to find someone that you can get all of your needs met.

Overall my facial set the tone for me. It was done not only in a beautifully aesthetic place but a peaceful one. They are definitely at my top must tries. I suggest you make an appointment or purchase gift cards for that special someone in your life.
