Admission to Shady Brook Farm

Tickets are definitely encouraged to be purchased online. The line of those like me who had their tickets purchased but needed to turn their tickets into wristbands was quite a lot. The line moves fast so don’t get discouraged. The ticket staff is very accommodating as well as nice. Remember to social distance, there are signs to remind you. There are places to wash your hands-use them freely.

Let the kids play

There are so many things for the children to do. From the bouncy trampoline, kids park and mini tractor riding allow the children to let all of that pint up energy out. We just watched as our kids ran, screamed, jumped, and climbed. They had a blast. We were just happy that they were outdoors and enjoying themselves.

Tractor Rides

When we came to Shady Brook Farm the last time, we didn’t get a chance to ride them. The kids decided that wasn’t happening this time. My husband also rode on them as well. The kids said they want one for the house. That’s still negotiable but I’m glad they had a great time. There are tractors of all sizes including toddler ones too.

Farm Animals

I love how there are farm animals to see. Turkeys, chickens, goats, all of them were such a joy. We went back to the animals about a few times. Make sure you’re not feeding them food that isn’t for them. They are very friendly. The chickens followed my son the entire way around.

Let’s Eat

We had been there for almost 2 hours and we knew it was time to eat. The kids wanted chicken strips, burgers and hotdogs. Shady Brook Farm had them except the chicken tenders. They sold out of them before we could get to the booth. No worries we adjusted. The menu has something for everyone. The prices are what is to be expected. The fries are so good. I am a vegan so French fries are almost its own food group. We ordered a large which was $9. It’s shareable but if I had known it was that good and the line not as long, I would have gotten 2 of them. I highly recommend you get some when you visit.

Uncle’s Dave’s Homemade Ice-cream

There’s always room for ice-cream. The homemade ice-cream is super creamy and indulgent. At our visit, they had the following flavors: Pumpkin, Cotton Candy, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream, Vanilla Bean, and Lavender. Our family tried Cotton Candy, Vanilla Bean, Strawberry, and Lavender. No one was unhappy with their selections. Pack some patience. The line was long. We stopped there after the Corn Maze. Had we gotten some before, the line wouldn’t have been as long.

Wine, Beer, and Ciders

Yes adults, you are covered for your alcoholic beverages. They also have Twisted Teas, and Trulys. I enjoyed their offerings. Specifically for the Fall season I had my first Liquid Hero pumpkin ale. It was absolutely delicious. Not everyone is a beer drinker but if you are, you will love the selections that Shady Brook had to offer. Their wine selections is also very nice as well.

Corn Maze Fun

Nothing is more fun than a good corn maze. I’m happy to report we didn’t get lost. However we as we usually do allowed the kids to lead. They got us but found a shortcut out and not necessarily the out that we should have made. The fun of a corn maze is looping around, getting turned around, and just feeling all of the Fall vibes. Definitely going to get your steps in from the entire day!

Hayride Fun

So of course we rode on the hayride. You can still pick fruit and go to the sunflower field. They will make those stops along the way. It’s a great way to enjoy your time and see Shady Brook Farm from those angles. The crisp air, the easy ride, and the courteous driver all made for a great time.

Pumpkin Patch

Can you ever go to a Fall Fest and not get a pumpkin? I think its an understood rule. With a family of 5 we wanted one big Boo Crew pumpkin. Especially since we know we will be doing many pumpkin fun for the season.  All of us agreeing on one wasn’t going to happen so we had to do majority rule. It was fun watching what the kids thought a good pumpkin looked like. I used it as a teaching moment. I reminded them that they all came in different sizes, had lumps from them, had dirt on them but on the inside was the goodness of the seeds. Picking one simply on the outside was more about preference than what they were capable of. FYI, everyone stopped us about our shirts. We got them from Children’s Place.

This is the one we chose:

Other Highlights:

They have this amazing big swing that is an absolute picture spot. Its huge.  I saw a family of like 15 get on it and still got the shots. It holds. We enjoyed it. There are several spots outside of the swing for family Fall pictures. So take it all in and select many spots.

The possibilities are endless. We were there for hours of fun. We ate well, got our step count, and I felt like I was in a Fall Fest oasis. Shady Brook Farm is located at 931 Stony Hill Road, Morrisville Pa 19067. They also have a night time wagon ride that is all lit up. This will happen in October. Make sure you get your tickets and enjoy all of the fun. It’s about a 40 minute ride outside of Philadelphia. It’s worth it. I would have cash and your card to purchase. Tickets need to be purchases ahead of time. So much content and fun, I will be releasing videos, and Reels so follow along and don’t miss out.
