Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Monday. Today is a good day to have a good day. I hope today brings you a sense of peace. It is the anniversary of September 11th. So many lives were lost and devastated. I remember just like most where they were when this happened and the impact it has had on the way that we move in life now. In addition, to remembering the lives that were lost we should also keep the people who unfortunately have been directly touched constantly in our thoughts and prayers.

Monday Flashback

Have you ever taken a time to simply do a flashback of your life? I do it often. It reminds me of where I have come from and where I still must go. So, for me today’s flashback is back to my stay-at-home days. I was overwhelmed with two kids at the time trying to figure my whole life out. The number of things that I am doing now wasn’t even on the horizon. A lot of the things that I told myself was that the phase that I was in would never change.

I would only be a mom and that isn’t a terrible thing. It was more that I had no outlet. My friends were far away, and I was struggling with making a village where I was. Little do I know that those times would help me to be able to run my business the way that I do.

My kids and family get a home cooked meal nightly regardless of the thousand and one places that I am in. My house runs like a well-oiled machine because I learned to master what needs to be done without sacrificing myself or my mental health. So do a flashback. See where you are now and where you once were. Is it different in good ways? Use the energy to make things better for your future.

To the Future

You aren’t where you want to be. However, you have the power to do so much for your future. For instance, do one thing in every area of your life that will be effective in your tomorrow. This can be done without having all the resources that you need. How many people in history do more with less? Quite a few. Take charge of your story. This is why be ready to always tell your story. Especially for the folks that are consistent in adding things to your story that didn’t happen. Do you ever notice that? Folks with no close connection to you seem to know more about what you need to do or should do in life? Tell your story as you make room for the greatness in your life.

Monday Focus

Today like any other Monday is a clever way to get organized. What do you need to set in place to make your week that much better. For me, I had to write down what items were missed. This could mean laundry, content, or getting things for the kids situated. Write down the things you need to help your Monday focus remain strong. For instance, instead of trying to do it all, I have my husband helping me with some of the content that I need to get done. He has a great eye for what I need and is used to my speed of content creation.

Without hesitation he is going to assist me. If this had been a few years ago I wouldn’t have asked initially. As I know what this week has for me with a huge collaboration of my career on the line, I am not wasting time getting assistance.

Monday

Again, make your Monday as amazing as you. Be honest for what you need. Do a flashback on yourself. Give yourself credit for the life that you have now as you pave a way for you to do more in your future. You are deserving of the life you seek. Happy Monday.
