Sunday Reset

What do you do for your Sunday Reset? For many it could be the very act of setting your week up for success. That is how I focus on a good reset for myself. Having the week start on a great food is helpful. For others the act of a deep clean does it. However regardless of what you do for your personal reset do it today.

A Personal Reset

Today’s personal reset looks like going to church with my parents. It included me stopping at my childhood church with the intent of seeing one of the older members I love so much. I asked my dad to let her know I was going to come and I was able to connect with her. She is an absolute delight. Her whole face lit up as I told her I was there to see her. I also ended up seeing my grandparents too. I had intention of stopping past their house. So being able to see them too was a great too.

I attended church before that with my mom’s church. My parents attend separate churches. Also that means I went to two services today. I felt pretty good about that. I’m not sure if I said it openly but I have been connecting stronger to my faith since the New Year. Things like reading the Bible, praying, and being intentional to things I am open to is key.

Week Reset

This evening I plan to journal. Journaling is a great way to help with my mindset. So with that in mind this is also a great way to prepare for my therapy appointment tomorrow. Organizing my thoughts ahead of time helps me to be able to make sure the pressing things are worked through. I am not sure if other people do that to prepare for therapy but it is what I enjoy.

Since I visited my parents this weekend, I will be making sure to get home and see what order my home is in. From there that will lead me to clean and check he meals for the week. This is a slow week in that  I have limited events. Slow to no events is a great way for me to work out, run, and take my time mentally and emotionally.

  • Keep it Positive Sweetie with Crystal Renee Haylett
  • The Mindset Mentor with Rob Dial Jr

For Music here is the music and artist I have planned to listen to:

  • Commissioned
  • Take 6
  • Kirk Franklin
  • Era III
  • Kaye-Marie

Looking for Journal Prompts

Do you journal on a regular basis? Some people hesitate because they are stuck on what to focus on. Here are some prompts to start you on your way.

  • What were last week’s wins and how can I apply those lessons for a great week
  • List the habits I feel like I struggle in, what are the reasons behind the struggle-what is one way to turn the struggle into triumph
  • How will I care for myself this week

Goal Setting for the week

Goals are not made at just the start of a fresh new year. It is in how you move daily, weekly, and monthly. So ask yourself what goals you plan to set for the week. For me since I have something like down time this week at least schedule wise, I will set content for the week ahead of time. This comes in the form of editing and placing content on various platforms at specific times. It helps me to be intentional with my timing as well as be present in my home and work.

Write down on a notebook what your specific goals for this week. Now ask yourself what you need to make that happen. Without a vision people perish. No more simply winging it. Take ownership of your time and attention.

Weekend Joys-Reset Monday

Do not forget to take some joys from your weekend into your week. This means remember them. This past weekend we celebrated my mom’s retirement. It felt good to be with my siblings. We are older now and 2 out of 3 of us are married while the other is dating. All of my siblings and I are raising families. Time is limited. So it felt good to connect. That joy which I even have clips of felt magical.
