April Newsletter

April showers bring may flowers. With that being said happy April. Yes, it’s a new month which means it is time for another monthly newsletter. With life happening and more I wanted to give a few updates. One I will be stepping up to do more blogs this month. The last few months starting before Christmas I have been struggling. However, since I have managed myself better be on the lookout to see that come across in the writing.

April Savings

As we continue to push through April here are a few things I am doing to save myself some money. One I am ordering anything I need for the easter holiday now. It’s about to be an all-over financial stress coming. There will be so many people saying how they don’t shop for Easter items but many of us are parents and that simply is a must. Not to mention a few food items that could be bought now and frozen to keep is my thoughts too.

In addition, I am ordering as much as I can or going into the stores like CVS. By the way they are having their #CVSEPICBEAUTY sale now on all make up products. Grab them until April 12th to see the sale. As always use your CVS Extra care card.

That’s it for now! I’ll be back tomorrow with another edition of Philly eats. This will be a culmination of dining experiences. In the meantime you can check out Amada’s 2nd Anniversary brunch.

Here’s some more tips for stress

Prioritize Sleep: Lack of sleep can amplify stress. Create a bedtime routine, limit screen time before bed, and aim for 7–9 hours of rest.

Stay Connected: Talk to friends, family, or a trusted counselor. Sharing your feelings can make stress feel less overwhelming.

Organize and Prioritize: Make a to-do list and tackle tasks one step at a time. Breaking things down can make even the most daunting tasks manageable.

Unplug and Recharge: Set boundaries with technology. Designate tech-free times to disconnect and focus on yourself.

Engage in Hobbies: Doing something you enjoy—like painting, gardening, or reading—can offer a creative outlet for stress.

Learn to Say No: Overcommitting can lead to unnecessary stress. It’s okay to prioritize your well-being and decline extra responsibilities.

A Gentle Reminder

Stress is a normal part of life, but it doesn’t have to control you. By being intentional about self-care, you can create habits that buffer life’s challenges. Use this Stress Awareness Month as an opportunity to take stock of your mental health and build resilience.
