F1 Arcade and Movie Premiere: A High-Octane Day in Philly

There’s something electric about stepping into a space that feels made for thrill-seekers and storytellers alike. That’s exactly the vibe at the new F1 Arcade Philadelphia. It’s tucked into the heart of Center City at 1330 Chestnut Street. With 80 full-motion simulators, an expansive interior that somehow still feels sleek and intimate, and a 43-foot illuminated bar anchoring the space, this isn’t just an arcade—it’s an immersive lifestyle experience.

Missed the F1 VIP

I was originally invited to the VIP opening night but couldn’t attend—and honestly, I’m glad it worked out the way it did. Instead, I was hosted as a special guest of Warner Bros. for an advance screening of their upcoming movie F1. They curated a race-night experience at the arcade. The intimacy of this event gave everything a more elevated, personal feel.  It was less about spectacle and more about shared adrenaline, meaningful moments, and curated luxury.

The Thrills

Walking in, we were immediately struck by the sheer amount of space. It’s thoughtfully designed to keep energy high without feeling overcrowded. It’s open floor plans, cozy lounge pockets, and panoramic screen setups that make you feel like you’re at the center of the action. Whether you’re gearing up to race or just taking it all in, the vibe is bold, modern, and undeniably cool.

We kicked things off with a round of racing that honestly had me forgetting it wasn’t real. The full-motion simulators respond to every turn and shift like you’re actually strapped into a Formula 1 cockpit. I teamed up with friends for some friendly competition (no official winner announced. We were too busy laughing and shouting instructions mid-race. Afterwards, we eased into lounge mode, indulging in a round of curated drinks.

The F1 blueberry espresso martini? Smooth, vibrant, and just the right mix of playful and bold. The old fashioned hit classic notes with a modern twist, and a glass (or two) of prosecco kept the energy light and celebratory.

Let’s go see F1 the Movie

Then came the cinematic finale: an exclusive premiere of F1.   The highly anticipated Brad Pitt film that dives into the grit, glory, and emotional intensity behind motorsport. Watching it before its theatrical release on June 27th made the entire experience feel even more surreal.

We sipped more cocktails, swapped predictions, and sat back as the tension built on screen. Seeing the drama of the track unfold after we’d just been behind the wheel ourselves added a whole new layer of thrill and appreciation. It blurred the lines between simulation and sensation in the best way possible.

All the Feels

What stood out most wasn’t just the adrenaline or luxury—it was the way the whole day felt designed with intention. Every detail, from the lighting to the cocktail selection, from the simulator responsiveness to the movie pacing, worked in harmony. It gave  to an experience that felt exclusive, accessible, and undeniably Philly.
