Monday desk

Happy Monday. If you had a weekend like mine, you may still be in recovery mode. With that being said, making sure that I keep productive on this Monday is important. How do you stay productive? For me there are a number of ways that productivity can be increased. Here are some of my suggestions and I hope you use them or it sparks more suggestions.

Monday Decreased Energy

Sometimes Mondays start off with a lack of energy. For me I try to combat it in how I do my Sunday night routine. For instance I go above and beyond to pack lunches, clean the kitchen, and set things out. This is in case we wake up and are running late. There are many days that I do this to help make the mornings a little smoother. For instance I was on a tight deadline thus today’s blog was a little late. However I had all of the things to put the project together in one folder. That helped me to be able to drop the kids off and get right to work. Energy levels also may need a boost just in how we take care of ourselves. Getting more sleep, checking our minerals, vitamins, and supplements is also helpful. This morning I also made myself a huge breakfast that way when I stagger my lunch it will help me to not be so hungry I can’t concentrate.

Work from Home Chronicles

For many who work from home it’s great to be comfortable. For me unless I have a meeting I am in sweats and a sweater. I also can take more breaks than I would in an office. However the same pitfalls of not eating, drinking water, moving around or taking breaks can happen just as easily. People all over social media are making their offices super pretty and cool. If you can do it but if not make sure its practical. There are many times that we focus on aesthetic but we don’t use our space wisely. I started going through my items in my office. Since I review products I have quite a few things in there. I cleared it out by giving away to others. This was I am ensuring of decreasing clutter. I do not like clutter and the clutter makes me lose focus.

Monday Reset

For my people who work in a traditional office, take some time to reset your space. Clean your desk, check your supplies, and get the things that you need. When I worked in an office I would get my water bottle ready, coffee and a breakfast snack. This was to make sure I could complete through the hussle and bussle of the day and have what I need. I also decorated my space well. It was there office, but I added little touches of things that made me crush my work goals. How do you reset for your day? If you can, arrive a little early to your shift. This ensures you have a moment to collect your thoughts and more. Take a deep breath.

Here are a few things to do to set your Monday off right or keep it right:

  • Start or add a podcast that motivates you
  • Playlist of your most energizing music
  • Eat a balanced meal and have great nutrient providing snacks
  • Set your outfits for the week
  • Meal prep
  • Start a new book and set a deadline to complete it
  • Take at least one 15-20 minute walk

Monday Joys

Today’s joy was changing out my coffee cup. Another was taking the kids off and making sure that when they leave me they leave in a happy upbeat manner. One of the joys of being able to still be here is to work hard to make things happen. So for you, find those little joys. I am proud of seeing things in a better light. The reason I choose to see life in a great light is for all of the years I was negative, I choose joy.

Happy Monday! Make today as amazing as you are!
