Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

One of the things I have on my vision board was to do more brunches! Now it’s weird because the people i has planned to do these brunches all have lives that are just as pulled as mine. Often times I’ve wondered how I was supposed to brunch more with such an active lifestyle! Brunching is an art. Brunching for the holidays to celebrate friendships, etc is even more of an art.

This past weekend I was able to attend an amazing Friendsgiving Brunch with some dynamic women! Shout out to Phillyfoodgal who I do quite a lot of collaborations with! She set up the brunch along with some tailgating later that day! I had never been to Talula’s Garden but as I was told the portions were amazing, the food was good and it’s visually stunning. As you know whenever I’m at a new restaurant I like to be clear as for what I’m looking for: service, food, ambiance, and whether or not a location is kid friendly! You know I got kids!

Ambiance

I’m always looking to a location because I should enjoy the ambiance of a location. How aesthetically sound a location is the more I’m more likely to return!! Talula’s Garden definitely gets an A!

Food

No one goes into a restaurant to look at the chandeliers. You don’t to eat! Eating is what brunching is what eating is all about. Talula’s Garden knocks it our the park with their portion sizes, (shareablity) and quality.

French Toast Bites

Mushroom omelet

Shrimp and Grits

Chicken and Waffles

Pumpkin pancakes

As can see these items are super shareable. Oh and I’m not greedy these are not all of my items; it was a Friendsgiving so here are the friends:

Drinks

I didn’t get all of the drink pics but here’s mine their sangria:

Is it Worth the Price?

Talula’s Garden is worth the price and the parking. Street parking is available near by or you can have your car valet for 20! I luckily found a sweet spot around the corner and it was an easy walk! The price averages to be about 30-40 if you add drinks if not you would average to be about 25. That to me is average brunch price for above average food and service.

Service

Speaking of service; Talula’s Garden has excellent service. I was the last one out of the bunch so I’m not sure if they identified themselves as bloggers or not. I per my usual only identified at the end letting them know I would do a review. There was no extra pomp and circumstance and I like that. If you’ve been giving great service no need to lay it on thick at the end to influence a review. They get an A+ overall.

Outside Garden

They have one of the most visually stunning outside garden and eating spot. Unfortunately it was about 30 degrees on Sunday so outside eating wasn’t an option!

When the weather breaks I do want to go back and sit in the garden and eat! I love being outside but not when it’s bitter cold.

In this season of Thanks and Giving I’m grateful for friends! I’m grateful for those who don’t mind coming together and being about fun and peace. I love when friends come together and support one another. Brunch is always that time to talk to your girls about some things you have on your heart and to walk away feeling better than when you came.

If you have amazing friends consider doing a Friendsgiving. You can do it before or even a few days following the holiday. It’s a great way to be around those whom you choose to be around versus family of whom you are obligated!

Thanks to Cherryl, Grace, and Elle for an amazing time!

Also if you’re looking for an amazing photographer look no further to Grace!

This is one shot she took of me:

May your Friendsgiving be amazing this season!
