Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Friday! We have done it! We made it. It’s Friday and we need to be happy about it! Today is World Sleep day so make sure if you’re unable to tap in today with work and responsibilities that you do so this weekend! So with that being said let’s talk about this long week and recap it.

Pin it for later

1 Year of a Pandemic

I can’t wrap my head about how it’s been a year since the start of the pandemic. It’s been a long crazy year. I went to the doctors last week and cried. It was weird. However it was a release of emotions that I needed. I can’t believe that we have been surviving like this. However as much as things appear to be looking up, I’m not fully sold on it all just yet. Europe is expected to be in a lock down very soon. As Europe does we usually follow through lastly on the precautions.

Daylight Savings has Kicked my Behind

I thought I was prepared by sticking to my regular sleep schedule. However daylight savings has had me all of the way off. From forgetting things, not following my schedule, and off my game. I’m praying this upcoming week will be better. I need next week to be better all of the way around! How about you? How has your week been? I missed an appointment that I had to reschedule. It’s been that type of week.

Sunday’s Blow Out

I’ve been extremely honest about my anxiety. Over the weekend I had an issue with my anxiety which also was over silent treatments. No my husband didn’t give me one. I used to get them as a kid. Most times my husband and I don’t argue. That in itself is a blessing. However we had a disagreement this weekend. My anxiety kicked in and I had to recenter myself. It was hard. For me it’s learning what healthy checks and balances look like. When your mate needs time to process instead of internalizing it to be more than that. The tactics I used to get me through that brief moment of frustration was taking 10 minutes outside, journaling, and calming down while washing my hair!

This week’s Highs

  • Completing a project with a brand that I can’t wait to share for all of my readers who are moms and dads or want to be
  • Recovering from Sunday’s blows
  • Being able to calmly handle my children this week

This week’s Lows

  • Sunday’s blow
  • Not staying on tasks

I mean even with the drop of temperature, Spring is literally around the corner! I can’t wait because that means that Summer is on the way. Who’s excited? I have switched my Christmas tree from St. Patrick’s day to Easter. I’m going to be seeing the home with some new dedications all over as well. Spring’s blog is already available!

New Podcasts

As we embark on a new week, let’s also talk about the newest podcast, Conversations with Toi that dropped. We talk about Kirk Franklin as well as accountability. I also hear podcast on, Awaken the Awesome. I’ll let you know when that episode drops. I can’t wait for you to hear it!

Cheers to the Weekend

This weeks wine glass is going to, Maivino. It’s a women founded wine company that is also vegan and stored in the cutest bag. This wine is amazing and one bag holds 2 bottles in them. They stay fresh for 30 days!

If you missed my TikTok make sure you watch it! Also my Instagram video of the wine too! So tonight will be all about the Rosé.

Enjoy your weekend. I will be relaxing as well as working on content. However, tonight I plan to do nothing after making deadlines this week!
