Friday

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. Happy Veterans Day to all of the Veterans and to my own Veteran, my dad. Thank you for your service. With it being Friday that means we recap the things that has taken place this week. So for this week we started out leap into the holidays. Whether you are ready or waiting until after Thanksgiving, I am sharing as much family oriented fun for all ages.

Friday Veterans Day

Grandparents Day

My kids’ school had Grandparents day last Friday. I always cringe when it comes to these days because I never want my kids to feel left out. My husband’s mother passed away a few years ago. If she was here, she would have moved Heaven and Earth to be here for her grandchildren. There were grandparents from near and far. Some took planes and more to get there. So I asked myself if their uncle Donnie could stand in the gap for them. Without hesitation he said yes. They have a relationship with him that is super close. I love seeing it. He comes over and hangs out with them. In addition they go over to his house too to hang out too. I love their relationship.

So it was a beautiful thing seeing him and them interacting. He is their grandmother’s (my husband’s mother) brother and more than willing to stand in for her. I will say this without going further into it, kids know when people are supportive. Support is an action word. You can’t simply say you are but there’s no active participation.

Kari Skin

Following Grandparents day I took a trip to Kari Skin for some waxing and a facial. I love my time at Kari Skin. This particular appointment they had Jacqui Bauers, Founder of Joint Topicals there. She had the atmosphere stunning from sight to smell. It made for an extra pleasant appointment. For instance I enjoyed some great hemp tea and hemp chocolate. The benefits of hemp chocolate include it being a superfood, high levels of protein, and minerals. I really love that even on the most difficult of days, the second I walk into Kari Skin the levels of relaxation is always what I need. I added Kari Skin to my Holiday Mental Health Shopping Guide. Make sure you check it out.

Craftsman Row Saloon

I had the honor of attending the media preview of their Christmas menu and cocktails offerings. If you remember, this is like a new yearly tradition. They have quite a few offerings that if you love to eat and drink will make you feel like Christmas is here.

Christmas Dinner Burger

Craftsman Row has head to toe Christmas decorations. I am talking about ceiling to the floor of the most beautiful decorations. Whether you go now or wait until after Thanksgiving, if you live in Philly make your way there.

Friday

Also if you are feeling Christmas and adventurous, grab one of their larger than life milkshakes. This is called the All I want for Christmas.

Conversations with Toi Friday Podcast Drop

It’s Friday and that means another episode is here for us to enjoy. This week we talk about the difference between accountability and responsibility. They are not the same. You can take responsibility but blame your why your actions are what they are on someone else and that lacks accountability. So let’s dive into the conversation. The drink of the day is the Moscato Pink Cocktail. Thank you for your continued support!
