Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Wednesday

Happy Wednesday to each and everyone. I have been on a mini break since Sunday. That doesn’t sound like a lot but I had too many things on the plate and had to take a mental health break. I love these blogs and I always want them to be of quality. There has been quite a lot going on so let’s recap and focus on this week’s lesson.

Spring Break Survival

My children had Spring and Easter break for over a week. It was a lot. We did so much. From seeing The Disney Princess with the girls to Harry Potter Exhibit with my son. I will writing the blog of the Harry Potter Exhibit and give you the dos and don’ts to watch for especially when going with the kids. We crafted, made homemade pizzas, went to the park, and more. They had a great time and I enjoyed the break from my normal schedule. They had an amazing calm Easter. We went to church Saturday night and was in our pajamas all day. They enjoyed candy and treats and we had a great family dinner too.

The Bad Guys Movie

My family and I were invited to a special screening of The Bad Guys by DreamWorks. I am going to say that this is the best movie of the year. It’s that good. I watch and screen at least 2-3 movies or shows a month. Sometimes more. This movie is at the top of the list of things to see. I never left a movie smiling so much as I did seeing it. It comes out worldwide this Friday. If you are looking for a movie that is good for children, provides great laughs for adults, and is full of entertainment from the beginning to the end; this is your movie. Do yourself and watch it. Thank you to DreamWorks for having us. I’ll remind you again on Friday.

Wednesday Joy: Me Time

I talk about this often about me time and its important. There’s an element to having a busy life but learning to take as many opportunities to fill your own cup. When I looked and realized I hadn’t done Monday Motivation, I knew it was a break necessary. That break allowed me to get through the series of media events and enjoy my children. We talked and laughed and enjoyed one another. I still had to take the time to craft some me time in there. Media events aren’t always a me time thing.

Wednesday me time

That is a lot of work to be “on.” You are focusing on the content creation a lot more than you are relaxed. So craft some me time as soon as can and make it a priority. As I was getting my hair done this morning, I felt like I was able to breath. Don’t let it get this bad before you take your time. Be creative to get it but make it happen.

Wednesday Lessons

Here are a few lessons that I learned during the Spring Break with my kids. They enjoy that one on one interaction with each parent. I already knew this but the balance to give them each of it is necessary. This is why people with more children than me-my hat goes out to you. Each child has needs that may not always be easy to meet. As a parent its hard to make sure that their physical and emotional needs are met too. Be mindful of that.

Wednesday

Another lesson that went down in the last couple of days is now that Summer is on its way. I am being offered events left and right. I am putting myself on a limitation of 3 events per week. This way I can rest and recharge. I am getting more opportunities to travel and the balance that it will take to travel as a mom and wife will need to be adjusted.

So look out for the Harry Potter Blog tomorrow morning. I will be recapping the week because if you thought my week was a short one you would be wrong. Today is a day of rest for me and I have something everyday going into next week. Have a great week. I am definitely getting my fill of water after all of the drinks I have had in the last few days. Happy Wednesday to you enjoy the rest of your week!
